On Sunday, President of the Republic Barham Saleh discussed with the ambassadors of the European Union and Canada the support of the international community for Iraq in confronting the Corona virus and enhancing its regional role.

During the two meetings, they discussed "strengthening friendship and cooperation in all fields, and the importance of the international community's support to Iraq in preserving its sovereignty, security and stability."

The President stressed "the necessity of moving away from the policy of axes and conflicts, and adopting constructive dialogue in dealing with crises in a manner that enhances the chances of peace in the region."

The President of the Republic pointed out that "facing the Corona pandemic today requires more solidarity and synergy between countries to limit its spread and its health and economic impacts on all peoples of the world."
