Military Helicopters Land in Downtown LA - 4 minutes

The troops were already on the ground and the road was blocked off. This has all the earmarks of a training opp. 

Though it was really cool to watch.

Another thing, When training with helicopters in America the pilot must be on the ground when picking up troops.

If this were a combat situation the pilot would skim the road or at the least hover a couple of feet above the road. 

This done in order to maintain flight in the event of a necessary fast get away.

Humm, I just received a a notice from FB and local news station that the Utah National Guard is training

 

ROOF CAM: The Utah National Guard Doing Test Runs With Blackhawks, Lakotas

 

Pretty windy here today but if they every go live with coverage I will post it here.

 

Blackhawks or PaveHawks where the 2 larger larger helo's that picked up the last groups in the above vid's Lakota's or Little Birds where the 6 smaller helos that landed 6 in a row and carried up 4 on skid.

 

Now I am not sure what the hell is going on.

Landing on what appears to be the top of the wells Fargo Building.......Odd, same bank as in the LA Vid's above.
