The mindset of the Left and the "minimum wage" issue is rather interesting to watch. The intention to raise lower income people's standards of living is all crouched in "good intentions", and most center-of-left thinkers gravitate towards the emotional appeal, rather than the logical and historically evidentiary outcome. 

 

I have stated this time and time again, the Liberals and Leftist always argue "good intentions", but the very policies and legislation that is implemented always harms the very people they intend to help. When the errors of their ways are shown through hard facts and data, they ignore it and argue that they need to now "FIX" the new found issues and problems, and the vicious cycle repeats itself. 

 

The best example of this is the Liberal microcosms (local municipalities and state governments) that have been ran by Democrats for decades...how do they fair against states that are not. 

 

Now don't get me wrong, there are exceptions to this rule for Republican strongholds, but in general, they have been managed much better than Democrat strongholds.

Keeping the masses chasing shadows and hunting snipe keeps them engaged whilst they take over the poor dupes' society.

which breaks down business and commerce,

which deteriorates a functional, free market society.

Look at other places they've done this, it always ends the same...

 

by the time the stupid herd of dupe's realise they've been had,

their society is in shambles,

 they are left starving with nothing but what is handed to them by their new masters,

and their "socially conscious" leaders have it ALL.
