Economic Adviser to the Prime Minister announced the appearance of Mohammed Saleh, for the government to raise taxes and fees on a percentage of goods and real estate during 2015.

Saleh said in a statement seen by rectitude newspaper "The Council of Ministers discussed a number of issues to find alternative resources for lower oil prices to support the budget."

"It was agreed to increase taxes and fees on goods and real estate during 2015 to support the budget and reduce liquidity in the deficit."

He pointed out that "the increase will be simple ratios do not affect the person's income and support on the part of the budget, but his Cabinet is not yet the rate of increase in taxes and fees decide."

Noting that "what previously levied from taxes and fees are estimated at one billion dinars, which do not constitute only 1%, and a few tenths of the annual budget" .anthy 9

Good new ya'll. I have often believed that when taxes are levied, that they should be done simultaneously with a bump up in the value of their currency. Yes a increase in the purchasing power of Iraqs citizens. Hot Diggity. If they levy the taxes on goods, services, real estate and imports and don't increase the value of their currency the citizens of Iraq will revolt over the ensuing inflation boom rate that it may surpass the mess that ISIS has done. Of course time will tell. We will see if the Prime Minister, and the GOI members, thoughts have thought that far ahead, and or come up with a alternative M.O.
