Agreed that Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki with the head of Iraq's Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani, who is visiting Baghdad for the first time in nearly three years, to work to resolve differences between the two sides.

Where committees have been formed to follow up on the points of disagreement with regard to the themes of oil and Article 140, and the common border between the provinces, was understanding the need to be resolved on the basis of the higher interests and the Constitution, while stressing the importance of monitoring the internal row to face any possible external risk.

Maliki said in a joint press conference with Barzani in Baghdad, said that «visit Barzani come a continuation of our visit to Kurdistan», indicating that «it was agreed to activate the joint committees to address all outstanding issues between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government on the back of the base higher interest and the Constitution.
