Hello everyone. After this happens I want to move to Arizona to a gated retirement community. Looking for something like a city within a city. So I don't have to go far unless I want to. Wanting to go to a place where the air is easier to breathe. What would be the best way to start my search? Any suggestions much appreciated. :DB):D

Scottsdale Is A Nice City But NOT This Time Of Year. It's Supposed To Be 111 Degrees Tomorrow ! :o

If U Can Spend Ur Summers Elsewhere Then The Mild Winter Temperatures Make It Worthwhile. B)

Hopefully Shabbi Wil Cooperate So That U Can Afford To Live Phat In 2 Places ! ;)

Are you familiar with Arizona at all? I've lived here over 30 years

maybe I could help out a bit. Are you interested in an adult community?

In the Valley? In the Mountains?

I've visited there a couple of times but that's all. I have a friend that lived in the Flagstaff area which was nice. I don't think I want in the valley area because doesn't that get really hot in the summer? I stayed in Sedona for his wedding. OMG that was beautiful. The drive from Phoenix was amazing and so was the drive from Sedona to Flagstaff. My health isn't that great and I am hoping I can get better with the dry climate. Don't want way up in the mountains either because of the snow. I am wanting paradise. LOL

I am just wanting to live somewhere that I feel safe. Everything is close. Doctors, stores, etc. I love to drive but only when I want to not when I have to!

I've been through a lot and just want to enjoy the rest of my life. I'm praying this happens by February. So I am just now starting to check places out. thanks for you fast response.

See my reply to Cris. Hoping and hoping, fingers crossed for all of us B)

Ok...I reread your post, and I see your asking for retirement communities.

Here's a list of 40 in the valley......For more, my search was Arizona Retirement

Communities

That's awesome. I missed that when I was searching earlier today. Thanks very much. I'm ready to go now.

That kind of narrows it....I would say the place you've been, Sedona

Is one of the best......Its in between the Valley and the Mountains, has

every convenience, and is still a small artist town.

Here is a list of 30 gated communities in Sedona ;)

I live in Prescott, which is beautiful, but does get some snow in the winter.

Sometimes a little in Nov. and then again in Feb. Nothing

like what Indiana gets though ;)

The Verde Valley might be another place to check out, or Kingman.

I've been in Phoenix 68 years.

NO! i was born in St. Louis, Mo.

Taking into consideration your health, I would say Prescott is the highest elevation you need?

Prescott Vally might be nice for you.

In case of a health emergency you will get med-vaced to Phoenix and the cost is OUCH!

Hope you find a nice place in AZ suitable for you and welcome!

Hey Cris. If you see a red MiniVan with a ladder or two on the roof it might be me. I just landed a job that will take me all through Flagstaff and Prescott areas. Honk your horn, I will think its you or someone pissed at me laugh.gif

This is a ton of help. I was hoping someone who has lived there would have the best insight. I really didn't want to contact a realtor. Thanks very much!
