  1. Is there something in place that will keep someone, or group of people of targeting individuals just because they share a difrent oppinion, or they just dont like them and want to be malicious? A targeted person can rack up negatives very quickly if they are ganged up on by 10 15 people who go back and put a negative in each post they have done in the past 6 months.
  2. 1. A nuclear detonation, in the air, underwater, space, or underground will emitt radiation energy that can be detected by almost all civilized nations, and would be nearly impossable to hide. These sensors, which are aboard sataltes in space, are so sensitive, they can detect radiation sorurces at hospitals, 2. Believe it or not, nuclear weopons are traceable. Experts can tell by studying residual radiation from the area, the origin, and manufacure of the weopon. This would be political suicide on the world stage, for the US. ( regardless of who the target was) 3. Nukes are not cheap.... One must consider the rationality of expending a nuclear device, along with all the baggage that will go along with it, for a couple of terroists who decided to hole up in an underground bunker. 4. Nukes are a weopon of last last resort, only when there is absolutly no other option, period. They were built to never be used. There is no reason, or justification of using a nuke, when US forces clearly demenstated their ability to land marines, or seals anywhere they wanted in those countries, including tora bora. There is no place in iraq, or ganastan that cant be targeted by conventinal weopons. One exeption to this will be irans nuclear facilities. .... If israel or us ever decide to take them out, nukes will be used to enshure total and complete destruction.
  3. I totally agree, but unfortunately utterly impossible to do. First, I like my Porsche. Second, the total proven reoverable oil reserves stand at around 20-30 billion barrels in the us. If we were to go 100% on our own at our current 19,000,000 bb/day proven reserves would run out in about 5 years or so. Then what? Shure we find oil fields all the time, but we are using more at a faster rate than we find. Shure we have shale oil, but it's not good for gasoline or jet fuel. And it is triple the cost to process it. Then if we do find the motherload it would take decades to get it producing. We don't have that kind of time.
  4. No you can't...... As fcked as it sounds. It is cheaper to import oil from a country 9000 miles away than it is to get it from our own back yard. Tree hugging hippy enviromenelists aside, one of the main reasons it is so, is we don't have the pipeline transportation infrastructure to move the massive quantities we would require to the oil refineries. The process that is necessary to get the oil out of the shell is alot more expensive, and is not the grade of oil for gasoline, but used more for heating oil, and other petroleum based products. Wow, what an hour watching discovery channel can teach you.
  5. Hello, I have a million iqd just sitting in my warka account. I'm aware, that when the iqd redenominates all notes and electronic money will also be redenominated. Will the isx stock values also be loped? Will my money value in stocks also be redenominated? If not, I'm thinking on moving it into the stock exchange, as I remember Adam saying at one time that the people who invest in the stock exchange will be the real winners.
  6. these clowns have made a living lining their pockets with billions of dinars in bribes. they are rich by iraqi standards. they could care less about the rest of the people. they are not going to vote for some measure that will basicaly negate all the seedy deals they have done. another thing that no one emphasises, is that during redenominations, limits are usualy put in place to negate speculators, money launderes, and other crooks. im prety shure these aholes dont want to explain why they have 10x more money than their jobs pay. i would vote it down too.
  7. thats not necisarily true. there are several senerioes that are absolutly a lot worse than breaking even. 1. iraq breaks down into a propetual civil war for the next decade or so. 2. the iraqis can decide to RD and not honer any outside dinars. and going to iraq to cash them in could not be worth the effort. 3 the iraqis could limit the amount a person can cash in. N.Korea limited the amount a person could exchange, when it RD d last year. im not saying they will, but it is possable.
  8. im not quiting yet, but when i do im quiting big... im a night stocker at a local grocery. the day im rich, im gonna go in, and clear bare like our 5 heaviest isles and dump them in shopping carts and roll them all into the back. and as the morning cashiers stockers and managers arive and spend an hour figuring where in the hell everything went, im gonna run up to a register and over the interom say " IM RICH! IM RICH BI@CH" "F YOU, F YOU, F YOU, YOUR COOL, AND F YOU" then im gonna run out the store yelling and sreaming like a lunitic, never to be seen by them again.
  9. i hope there will be someone at the bank to cash in too right...lol.
  10. i think the world would sleep a little better if sadr and his army was put on a leash. but, you are probly right...the un would have to step in. at that point, would you think they may seperate the factions into kurdish sunny and shite self governed regions, kind of how the kurds are now, and then have a weaker unifying central govt.
  11. ok, they cant think the zeros to disiapear, they gotta do something........... so iraq, do something.
  12. provide bigger currencies? not smaller ones? are they deleting zeros or adding them. is it possable that maybe they might be refering not to the 1000-25000 bills but getting rid of the 50-500 bills , so that the 1000 becomes the lowest bill. dont kill me, im just thinking out loud here.
  13. you are arguing a point that is not only irelivant, but is actualy suporting my argument. it is irelevent what the kurds do. whether they make there own state, or whatever. there will be a civil war, the kurd, the shites, and sonnies will be involved. ( posably even bringing in iran or turkey ) it will burn the whole country to the ground. it will destroy democracy, and most important it will destroy any chance whatsoever of our investment. even if your right and the kurds form their state, and the rest of iraq burns, were are just as screwed investmentwise.
  14. hello all. i allways thought these bank stories were a bunch of nonsense, untill today. i went with my mom to get a bank account set up for my grandma. having heard numerous bank stories before, i was tempted to see if she knew anything about the iraqi dinar. but my mom asked first. to me and my moms supprise she said yes. she had no offical news from the bank, but she was invested, and that the rummer was that it would soon rv. im not going anymore into it because after listening to her for a few minuts, it was obviouse that she was getting her info from either here, or another dinar site. the 2 things that ive taken away with this are. yes banking personel are allowed and are activly investing in dinars. contrary to some who have said it was illegal for them too. even though i now believe that many, not all, but many of these stories may have happened. i believe the bank employees are not passing offical bank information, but only the same rumers we gleem from here, on thier own.
  15. well thats where the bloody civil war will come in. as of right now, the onlything that is proping up this doomed to fail govt is US muscle. i think we can both agree, regardless who we feel the powerplayers are, the minut US forces vacate iraq, this country will burn and democracy with it.
  16. here is my oppinion. we can go in and physicaly instal a democratic govmt. and make it work. but the peoples lives are controled by islam. it has been for generations and always will be. these two conflicting ideas could never be allowed to exist in the minds of their religios leaders, of which sadr is one. the minut we leave, they will begine to dismantle everything we fought and died for there. the govt is weak. the people look to their religios leaders. sadr is probly the most powerfull man in the govt. and his inflence grows by the minut. his followers have had several years to infrtrate every aspect of the govt. unable to defeat the govt with US firepower proping it up, he has joined it in a rouse of giving it a chance. but in reality he has used his influence to undermine the govt from within. piting one MP aginst another in any hopes of making the govt a failure in the eyes of the people. i mean this guy is taking the script right out of star wars. this guy is primed and ready to take over the govt as soon as we are out of the picture. a very bloody civil war is on the horizon. and with it an end of iraqi democracy, if there was such a thing in the first place. i fear that our rv will die with this also. so pray sadr meets an untimely end or they grant us bases there, or we will be looking for alteratives to use dinars for.
  17. no it means iraq and our investment is in deep sh$t. sadr has a large army and has his people in all departments of the government. everyone else including iraqs military is incompatent. the onlything in his way, is US firepower. that is why he wants us out, we are the onlytthing standing in the way of sadrs vision of iraq.
  18. sadr wants us gone, so he can burn iraq in a religious civil war and rebuild it in his image. if he wins our investment is as good as gone. pray that us troops stay, and pray that somehow something happens so that we get an excuse to get rid of him and his army, because they are big trouble for iraq once we leave and he isnt delt with.
  19. rv,rd.....this argumant will be a mute point if they dont get this done before our troops leave. i say 70% chance we dont see any money as we watch as sadr and a dozen other power hungry religious nuts circle this bunch of incompatent morons like buzzards , waiting for the us troops to leave, so they can burn iraq in fire, and febuild it in their image.
  20. any chance of an rv, rd,lop, or anything dies once our troops are gone. this country of incompatent dumb arsses has no chance aginst the forces circling like buzzards waiting for the lions to leave.
