I think you have it backwards - money sent to the Red Cross goes to good service, money the government takes from you... that's a questionable subject, at best. If you're relying on the government to make the best of your money, you're sticking your head in the sand. And like I said - if you don't want to donate, you can still forward the link to others you know.

that's a selfish point of view, with all due respect. The victims in Haiti have nothing to do with what the Federal Government did or did not take from you. This is a natural disaster and the same thing could happen to you one day. Thank you to all the generous people who have already donated.

regardless of your religious views, the OP is right... waiting until you have "more" to help those in true need is plain selfish. Give till it hurts. This is one of those times that we all should.

This is a large community with many caring and kind-hearted members. There is a disaster in Haiti and I think we could be a big help. What can we do? (I have an idea, but before I present it I want to hear from the members.)

It's the least of my investments; I just happen to be passionate about it because of the potential and that's why I devote my energy to it. My question is this: I've been approached by 4 of the major 6 dealers out there. Before I decide to let them advertise here, I need to know what YOU think. (I'll pull them in a second if they ever screw a member, and I don't care how much they will pay.) The bottom line (to me) is that the people here probably already have dinar or they will want it in the future, so we might as well point them in the right direction. Should we choose a dealer that we can hold accountable, and thereby help people who want to buy Dinar? Or would that compromise the integrity of the site in your eyes?
