Well hello everyone!!! It sure feels like forever since I've been able to log into here! Missed getting the news and sure missed the VIP section! Thanks Adam for getting us up and running again. Here's hoping that this thing pops this week!

Well said Adam! IMHO anyone who smokes can afford $10... anyone who eats out...can afford $10.... I personally believe you will 'afford' whatever you deem important! MH (P)/SR IMO this is a smoke screen article that is intended to mislead. The reason I say that is if you will notice the symbol above that is highlighted 'ID1000'... the true symbol for the Iraqi Dinar is IQD NOT ID! In their mixed up minds they feel they are not lying about the dinar value because they have not used the correct symbol. ... Just a thought. I could be wrong ... but then again, I could be right.

That is so very sad to hear. All I can do is pray for the family and pray for the mixed up nation that we are so closely watching because of the currency they hold. I doubt any country has had as much attention as this one has these past 6 or 8 months.

This is definitely news. Maybe not the type we 'like' to hear but I appreciate you sharing it. So often we get so involved in our hopes and dreams for the dinar to revalue we forget about the grave danger many people are in & the suffering that is happening in Iraq. We should be on our knees asking God Almighty for his protection and help for all concerned.!!!

Wow - I remember that night too - but we only heard the news at the end of that short period - so one minute we seen the 1.49 rate and then we refreshed our converter page and POOF it was gone! What a bummer! :-) Hopefully again real soon we will be looking at mataf and get a life changing experience. (I bet alot of us take pictures of it too!!!!)

Well as usual... time will tell. But this is very good information and definitely points toward this happening sooner rather than later. Just before Adam came in an chatted a couple peeps noticed that the mataf site was registering some odd numbers. The decimal was changed to a comma and the place value was different also. ??? Makes a person wonder!

ndowning - you have put an interesting spin on this?? Makes one wonder. I was looking at if from the thought of golfguy's thought. I mean - we all know the IQD is going up - and even if he only 'suspected' the increase it would be quite tempting to make off with the 'loot'. If we all will be totally honest we could be tempted - but just because a person is tempted, doesn't mean they will commit that crime. This makes me think of the other recent happenings here at DV. As I sit in the chat room watching the 'talk' and participate off and on, I sometimes notice changes in the conversation as the time grows closer for an RV. Temperments seem to be on edge, some greediness has surfaced, people have begun sharing 'how much dinar they own', others talk of buying more and more, some talk of their dreams and then like last night there was quite the chaos and as Adam called it in his post this morning - Betrayal! Hmmmm very interesting is all I can say. Let us all be careful how we let this potential 'windfall' effect us. I know there are many good people on this site with great intentions after the rv but I just hope and pray that we will not let the enemy of our soul destroy us. "One Nation Under God" We are truely blessed to be 'in such a time as this!'

I did read this on one of the news sites... hmmmmm ... they do call a "holiday" at the drop of a hat, don't they??? Wish they would call a "holiday" and RV this Iraqi dinar we are all holding!!! :-)
