US black list (SDN) issued every three months by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department , which means to monitor the affairs of companies, banks and banking offices in the world. The Office did not issue any clarification on the reasons for these banks and offices be included on the blacklist. Under US law, all private citizens and US companies and financial transactions worldwide are prohibited from dealing with companies and offices that lists their names on the blacklist. As this says under US law all private citizens are prohibited from dealing with banks listed on the black list. They have now included all US banks within Iraq to the blacklist. What's to stop them from including all US banks worldwide to the blacklist? If they do that no US citizen will be able to exchange within the US or anywhere in the world. This doesn't sound good.

If Iraq really does have those hundreds of billions of dollars (not dinars) why didn't the IMF get that money back to Iraq instead of having to make them loans? Iraq appears to be almost broke. Their current money supply would require Trillions to rv at 1 to 1. With oil sinking ten dollars a barrel recently that puts even more pressure on their finances. Oil in the ground is great but if they can't pump enough to pay for running their country they will continue to need assistance and stay a third world nation it would appear. Their politicians are completely corrupt and living in their cushy bubbles isolated from the poor and needy population. They have no incentive to do anything and have proved that time and again. Just the opposite. The Canadian dollar has dropped substantially. The USD has been showing some weakness lately but guess you missed the huge rise in the USD the past 4yrs.
