@edbeachand @pokerplayer Vietnam has an internationally traded currency. Iraq doesn't. Theoretically they could return to the forex at the current rate. You can buy and in any country in the world. Can you do that with the dinar? No. Vietnam benefits from a low rate because they are primarily and export country. Iraq is mainly an import country so they would do better with a higher exchange rate. The bigger issue for the WTO is that at the present time the IQD is not exchangeable regardless of rate.

So, theoretical senario.... Al Sudani and Co return from the US. They come back have a cabinet meeting to explain what took place in the US. Al Alak moves the dinar to 1:1 or just over that. Budget gets scheduled for reading in parliament at end of April beginning of may. The rate is moved upon their return which let's them get the money out the mattresses and they talk about deleting the 3 zeros whist, educating the citizens. They also monitor inflation during this time and at the end of April beginning of May the budget goes to parliament. Budget eventually gets passed and at this point the rate is reinstated to forex and we can all go to the bank sometime in May or early June

By the way... I don't by any stretch of the imagination believe Trump is completely innocent but I also don't buy what the Democrats are trying to make him out to be. I am quite sure there are many other politicians who are or have done worse and have just been lucky not to be found out

As most of you will be aware , I am not an American. I am not a big political person here in the UK. I don't fully understand how US Politics work. However, I feel a need to say this.... I have watched some of the trials DJT has been through in recent months. I have watch Biden as well and I have to say Biden does appear demented and unaware of what is going on around him . Having given consideration to how well the US appeared to me , as an onlooker, when trump was last the president compared to the utter mess the US IS IN NOW... Now if I was an American I can assure you I would be voting for trump! He was the first and only world leader to bring nations together. To facilitate co operation between nations. Now the world is going to pot and Joe Biden or our PRIME MINISTER has the ability to fix the mess they helped create. The world needs TRUMP to fix the world before it is much worse. Go Trump 2024! Now if you dont like what i have said ruby me all you want but like everyone here i am allowed to express my opinion. Jmho

The Central Bank of Iraq confirmed its approval of the Council of Ministers’ decision to transform the Industrial Bank into a public joint stock company with the contribution of local and external investors, indicating that the second phase will include the Agricultural Cooperative Bank.
The Banking Supervision Department stated through a document obtained by Iraq Observer, which stated:
You refer to the meetings that took place with His Excellency the Prime Minister in the presence of His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank and His Excellency the Minister of Finance regarding the decision of the Council of Ministers held on 1/2/2024, paragraph (2) thereof, The proposed idea of converting your bank into a public joint stock company with the contribution of local and external investors, and for the second stage to include the Agricultural Cooperative Bank, explains to you the new plan regarding your bank and other government banks as follows:
1- Rafidain Bank is being structured by dividing it into two banks,
the old with government accounts, and
the new with the status of a commercial bank and a public joint-stock company.
2- After that, Al-Rasheed Bank will be merged with the new Al-Rafidain Bank
3- The Industrial Bank will be transformed into a public joint stock company, after which the
Agricultural Cooperative Bank will be acquired

I am sure Al Alak and a few others from the CBI are with him. I also think several members of the finance committee are with him and folks from the energy / oil committee. Additionally, there will be folk from the cabinet / framework committee. Wonder if he took old tatter head just to let him see how to do buisness with the west . 🤣

There is a rumour that she was very close to a cousin of williams who completed suicide recently. Well , he supposedly did. There is speculation william killed him as well. Immediate autopsy and cremated. William was then seen with bruising to his face and neck as if he had been in a fight and it is known william was with him in the days leading up to so called suicide. Interestingly , old charlie has been putting pressure on the Welsh assembly to excempt himself ( allegedly) from prosecution in a new law they are waiting to pass. Speculation is it is to protect william. Charlie doesn't need excemption because he is the king and is completely excempt from all prosecution in any commonwealth country.

@screwball.. psychological issues is an understating! None of them have any real idea of the issues of the British public. They are completely out of touch. Before I trained as a nurse I worked in a private boarding school. Even at that basic level , people who paid for their kids to go there were not in touch with the realities of the normal man in the street.
I have met some of the royals in the past due to the job I had within the school. Horrible, fake , pompous out of touch , sleazy entitled individuals who produced an heir and then bed hopped their way through life and everybody in their social circles did the exact same. The kids were the ones who suffered

@screwball Well quite a few folks don't believe charlie and kate have both got cancer. She is in hiding and it was announced the other day william will now be working from home. Charlie is supposedly having chemo , which would mean he is immune compromised . He was sitting apart from the rest of the royals at the Easter church service due to this but has been going out and meeting the public and shaking hands with them ???? That doesn't add up. Edward and sophie haven't been seen for weeks either and neither has Anne. There is also speculation william damaged /killed kate at Chrisymas and the rest is a cover up. She hasn't actually been seen since Christmas day. Around the 28th December 2023 there was mass emergency vehicles at Sandringham, where they all go for Chris's but nothing has been mentioned about it. However the convoy of vehicles were seen leaving Sandringham for London with flashing emergency lights.

Just found the news report. Apparently they are guarding it .. It is to mark 120 years of friendly relations . Not sure I buy it considering nobody lives in it and it is supposed to be getting renovations done

No , not heard anything. If you have a report or can direct me to it I would be grateful. There is so much dis information coming from the royal household just now nothing would surprise me. I actually think they are gradually getting rid of the royals. No great loss to me. Buck house has actually been closed since before old lizzie died Charles only uses it for state occasions. He tends to either live at Clarence house or at Sandringham. I did see something last week about French soldiers but they were with the household cavalry and were not actually guarding the palace

The dinar will not be returned to the forex whilst Al Sudani or the CBI governor is not in the country. They will jointly announce it and declare a 3 day holiday to celebrate the return of their currency and country to the international arena. IMHO
