To set the record straight here, it was 17 SEALS and 5 SEAL support personnel. Please stop with the conspiracy crap because IMO it only undermines what these brave young men were doing. It wasnt a rescue mission but one to take the hurt to some really bad people. I work with these guys every day and have seen the AAR. Mods can ping my IP for confirmation.

Great post. It's way past time for "we the people" to remind Washington exactly who they work for. Over the years, they have been allowed to get away with too much and they now feel that they're untouchable. In the next few years, we need to send the message by voting EVERY sitting politician out of office. That would be the start of getting this country back on track. I doubt it will happen but it's EXACLTY what I will do and press my friends and family to do the same. The time to clean house is way over due!

"NSW Force and Families, Yesterday evening in Afghanistan, Facts are still being gathered and recovery operations are still underway, but we believe 22 men associated with Naval Special Warfare forces, including 17 SEALs, were among those killed when their helicopter crashed during combat. Most of the NSW men were part of NSW East, although 2 were NSW West. Again, we're awaiting confirmation of this information, but I have a good degree of confidence in reporting, at this point. All the men aboard this helicopter were engaged on a combat mission, in a tough environment, against a determined and capable enemy. This was a Joint and Combined Team, with US Army, US Navy and Afghan Security elements. We grieve for all of them, for their teammates, and for their families and friends. We will recover our warriors, honor them properly, and move forward in the continued defense of our Country. NSW is working with USSOCOM and the US NAVY to ensure timely and accurate information flow, understanding that our first priority and sensitivity is to properly notify and support our Next of Kin. I agree 100%. Who knows what the CBI will actually do so all we can do is take the factual information that comes out and take an educated guess. Thanks for the info on the OPEC contract. Yes they are, however, services contracted out to Iraqis and TCN's are paid in Dinars. At least it was when I was there.

Darin, It's painfully obvious what his stance is. He believes what's in black and white and only that. I believe the proper term is "short sightedness" or another term which is well known here..."dumper". Revenue nuetral does not make sense and will do nothing for the Iraqi economy.

+1 Nelg. I too prefer the positive approach at the same time realizing Iraq's "one step forward two steps back" philosophy. Here's hoping they turn that around to "two steps forward and one step back"

Absolutely right Krome. They are making damn good money and not under as much of a threat as before. They'd be stupid to quit their jobs if there was an RV.
