  5. You know? I never thought to ask him that question. He retired when I was just a toddler at Cecil Field. I remember talking about being in Antartica with Doc Taylor (James Taylor's dad). I should dig through some of his old papers and find that out. I lost my Dad to lung cancer in 1999. Of course he only talked about the wars to other Vets or other men. Never wanted the likes to touch the ears of me or my Mama's. Good to meet you Sir. Maybe we can stay in touch somehow. Blessings to you

  10. http://www.aknews.com/en/aknews/2/227795/?AKmobile=true Hope link works Iraq strives enhancing banking system Sunday, March 27th 2011 11:21 PM Baghdad, March 27 (Aknews) - The opinions of a number of Iraqi economists varied about the demands of the Iraqi Central Bank (ICB) to facilitate granting licenses to establish private banks in the country, especially with regard to the reduction of capital. Ali Kah Gih, the economist and the head of the Iraqi market center told AKnews that the economic situation in Iraq needs to activate the Law of the Central Bank about money laundering and follow-up and lack of emphasis on the granting of licenses for financial companies in the establishment of private banks. "All establishment controls in the regional countries depend on the basis of available capital which is found in the other banks and not on the basis of capital granted to the ICB and with large amounts." "The central bank's efforts were important and effective to expand the performance of private banks but it still tough in the imposition of capital and dealing strictly in grating the establishment licenses." The economic expert and member of the founding committee of the private banks Ibrahim al-Mikdadi told AKnews that "the private banks must be handled within the guidelines of financial monetary ie, on paper of economic policy provided by the founders and not by imposing 250 billion dinars as a basis for bank capital sector." "The capital is supposed to be paid on three phases to develop the monetary structure of the bank and raise the level of its interaction with other banks." "The deal of central bank with private banks should be focused on the ability of banking firms to deal with the system of computing and electronic communication between them and the banks of the world." While the opinion of the economic analyst and the official of the Economic Section in Mada Foundation Abbas al-Ghalibi differed from the opinions of the previous economists and said that "the development of strict controls on private banks will improve their situation where a large part of them is similar to the exchange shops where they lack the most basic mechanisms of banking work." "The central bank is demanded today to reconsider the law of the establishment of banks and raise the ceiling of capital and work to provide supervising cover on financial and cash transactions." "Iraq will witness soon wide investment and commercial movement and good banks must be available with capital and profits to improve the banking sector." The ICB assured on Saturday that it identified 250 billion Iraqi dinars as a minimum for the establishment of private banks in the country. The ICB announced last month that it will grant a number of licenses to establish private banks, stressing on that the increase in banks will enhance the economic role of the country. The Ministry of Planning and Development Cooperation said last Thursday that the inflation rate increased during February by 0.3% since last January. A number of economists have fears from the continuing high rates of inflation in the country in the absence of mechanisms to reduce its increase by government institutions that are concerned in managing the economy in the country. The ICB announced last October last that the rate of inflation in Iraq decreased by 2.7% if compared with last September and this encouraged the launch of liquidity for banks by 5% from the legal cash reserves in order to expand the lending operations and advance the development process. The main task of the ICB is to maintain the prices stability and the implementation of monetary policy, including exchange rate policies, managing the reserves of foreign currency, issuance and management of currency as well as regulating the banking sector Reported by Saman Dazzayi RN\GS AKnews

  14. MARCH 28TH, 2011 06:45 PM Good Evening Family! As you are all aware xxxxxxx is unavailable to post this evening and has had Xxxxx send me the teams information……….. 1. Xxxxx said as we know M finally submitted the ministers to Parliment and they will vote the upcoming Parliment meeting. Now Xxxxxx stated it could be Wednesday or Thursday. 2. Team reported that all over the Iraqi News today they were speaking of the lifting of the 3 zeroes. 3. Xxxxx said Foreign Minister Zebari is indeed in Kuwait with his delegation. Now we all knew what xxxx reported through articles however we are reporting what the TV is telling the people. Xxxx also said that Parliment generally works on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday but they are working everyday now. That, Xxxxx says, shows they are working very very hard to get this accomplished and as he has said on the calls it could be anytime. Now the following article is an old article of SHAB’s…….but well worth the read again. Xxxx also commented that this is what Shabs thought then around 2005 that the Dinar would be too expensive to buy in the future. So take 2005 add 6 years what do you get? TONS OF MONEY….well we know it will be well over the dollar………….. Iraqi Media Network Said Dr. Shabibi central bank governor that this year’s budget an investment budget because it focused on the size of the investment Ziada. Shabibi said that the role of the central bank is to address the imbalance that would result from the development process that will result from changes in economic structure are basic. He pointed out that the central bank is to achieve development in a stable monetary environment through attention to all means and policies to achieve economic stability and moderation in the environment and the normal rate of inflation moderate. He continued: our budget relating to the conservation of its resources, is done by combating inflation. Stressing that the bank had several measures including raising the dinar exchange rate. He pointed out that the impact of this action on the budget through the impact on the purchasing power of government, will increase by addressing inflation. Shabibi said: that this policy will increase the confidence in dinars, which will pull some of the money to the banking sector and the rationalization of government spending because of its impact on inflation. He indicated that this action will lead to a reduction in prices of import goods such as private sector imports and the import of the government’s development that comes from converting the Iraqi dinar to the dollar. He added that this policy at the time weakens the government’s ability to buy the dinar, it strengthens Aldenarabraghi which is owned by the government. He pointed out that the bank wants and means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar valuable and powerful. Xxxxx sends his Wishes and said he will be back with us on WEDNESDAY…..many nice articles coming out tomorrow. He will talk on WEDNESDAY…………..

  18. Words outta my mouth. You took them!!! Do we need to define the word "rumor" for these people? In do concur that this is the most rude forum I am involved with. We are ALL in this boat TOGETHER. Life is hard enough. Why make it harder on each other? Things change on a daily basis in Iraq and we must understand the mentality of the Iraqi people and their government. I know it's so hard to get your hopes up for not. So just sit back and relax. It will happen when it happens. Don't shoot the messengers posting in the "RUMORS" section. Did I mention RUMORS SECTION. Blessings to all

  20. He was at a Carl’s Jr. having a meeting with his youth pastor about church stuff. When they finished eating and meeting, they got up and began to walk out. There was man that was sitting behind him that had a peculiar look. He described him as an ethnic looking man with olive skin and dark hair and the physic of a UFC fighter, with strong features and a chiseled chin. My friend was so detailed about his looks that I teased him (the pastor) and said, “Dude, do you have a man crush going on or what??” He said that there was something energizing about his presence, but he can’t describe what it was. So this man asked, “Where’s your church?” while he is looking/texting on his smart phone, never looking up. My friend was a little thrown off because this man would not look up. My friend answered and said, “We are just down the road, you should come and visit us on Sunday”. The man said that he is just passing through, but then asked, “Do you believe in coincidence?” My friend said, “No”. The man then said, “Sit down I want to tell you something that will help prepare your family and church for what is going to happen“. So they sat and the man wrote on the back of his Carl’s Jr. receipt the name of a Dinar site, gave it to him and said, “Go to this website and order some Iraqi dinar”. My friend told him that he has some and is familiar with the Iraqi Dinar. The man told him, “Good, it’s going to revalue soon and when it does, you need to buy silver and gold, because once it does, everything is going to change”. My friend said, “Well, we heard that it’s supposed to RV any day now”. The man responded, “Not yet, but soon. What you see going on in Egypt is going to happen in two more middle eastern countries and the US will go into another war.” and then he said this, “When it does happen, it will RV at 318; when it does RV, everything is going to change”. My friend said that he was fluttery in his spirit and not able to think straight when this man was talking. He was able to ask him, “So how do you know this, what do you do?” The man answered, “I do what I do and I’m good at it“. My friend then left with his Youth Pastor feeling weird. When my friend finally got his composure moments later, he turned around and went back to talk to him some more, but the man was gone. (Of course!). Now I know this sounds weird, but it happened. What was even weirder to me and my wife was, 2 weeks before this encounter, my wife was in prayer and she heard the Lord say, “I do what I do and I’m good at it” She wrote it down in her prayer/prophetic book and told me about it. I blew it off like I usually do but when this happened with my friend I got the heebeegeebees! So take it for what it is. I kept telling him to post this, but the bashers scared him away. This whole thread is about spooky stuff so I thought it would fit. Take it for what its worth to you or throw it away. I’m an Assembly of God pastor and have nothing to gain for posting this. My friend is also a pastor so he has nothing to gain from making this up. He still has the Carl’s Jr receipt that this man wrote on if you would like a pic of it look him up and send him a message. One more thing, my friend asked him his name and he said my name is “Abriel”, which means, “Congregation of God”. MY COMMENT: I have no way of verifying this, but if this did happen in late January, it foretold the present war in Libya. Likewise, the UN resolution authorizing this war in Libya was passed on March 18 (3/18), and the bombs began to fly the next day. March 18 was indeed a watch date for me, as it has been ever since 1986 when I had a dream about that date. In my dream came a prophetic revelation, spoken through a bank teller who was handing me money (in the dream): “This is the beginning of a lot of money.” In the dream, I responded to her: “Would you repeat that for me? I want to remember it when I wake up.” How weird is that? Anyway, I remembered it word for word when I woke up. As early as last July, Ron and I were discussing this very dream, and wondering if perhaps the dinar would revalue on March 18. At the time, the date was too far into the future to consider seriously, but we have now passed that date. The dinar did not revalue, but now comes this strange account posted above. There is probably more to the “318” than meets the eye. It could be a time of day or perhaps the starting point of a countdown. It’s hard to say at this point. All we can say for sure is that the UN essentially declared war on Libya on March 18, and that this strange man at the restaurant seemed to say that the dinar would not revalue until after America had entered another war. He indicated that the revaluation would come afterward, but did not say how long after. Who knows? Interesting and entertaining to say the least. God bless
