What is amazing to me is the level of denial. The head NASA climatologist, Hansen, the rest of the civilized world's scientists...the vast majority with CREDENTIALS in the FIELD say it is man-made climate change. But conservatives listen to bloggers who tell them differently...this level of denial also extends to... pollution... women's rights... g a y rights... flat earth... general tolerance of others... Need I go on? Oh, why not... a living wage... foreign policy - oh no! It wasn't an oil war - Saddam tried to kill his daddy... Mexicans - Let 'em go home - after they clean the toilet... You know, while the world that Your God created is burning up - he is looking down on you deniers, and making His judgment.

Yes I think you are right. SA did invest in America - in real estate, treasuries - and powerful dynasty families like the Bushes. The House of Saud and Bush were (are) very intimate. Not just oil, but weapons (Carlyle Group and daddy Bush). India has become a big player, so this kind of business would help both local currencies. And I am afraid it will also help break the back of the greenback as the world's premiere reserve currency -which in the long run is a good thing - primarily because, many American don't know this, but the petrodollar fuels America's military/economic empire. Cut the legs out of the dollar, and there goes the empire - also better for us because our kids won't fight in so many business wars...

I have only seen Obama acting the "good boy." He has been a very un-uppity black man - if he had been an angry black, they would have never put him in office. Dividing us to start riots? All he ever speechifies about is getting along and mending fences. He has talked down the rich 1% elite - to me that's good. If he were truly a black racist, he would be (not president) saying blacks should rise up, overthrow the whites, etc Same can be said for the white haters - militias, etc.

I don't like this President either. I think he's bought and sold and doesn't represent the People - just special interests. I agree. At least for Radical Islam - just as there are radical Christians, not all of them are radical. I don't think most Iranians want to die in a jihad - many of them are secular and pretty modern Like us they are merely living their lives

Was just in France, Italy and Belgium in 2011 - soar and wind working very well over there. Big business is trying to kill it here - because they have to give up market share. Just be quiet a minute and think to yourself....can we go on burning oil forever? Can we ignore clean energy as the population explodes? (Catholics...is the Pope listening?) Can we let just a few masters sell us energy every month for a profit...or make it ourselves? Just ask those questions. The rest of it is moot.

Yeah Dog - very good. Although I disagree with the Iran nuke thing - all nuclear countries have been restrained since 1945 by "MAD" - mutual assured destruction - they nuke, we nuke, everybody dies...Iran is no different (even if they have suicide bombers - vast majority are not) So I think it is an excuse to go in and control them IMO (as in "mushroom cloud" lies by Bush Admin)

Read "Secret American Empire" written by John Perkins. He was an economic hit man for Washington. He was in it and turned against it. True. Thanks Tankdude - Look, I've always called modern US media "polishing the turd" due to its advertiser bias, big business orientation and just owner bias. The TV media here has two concerns: keep the status quo (don't change anything) and make money. They are mutually inclusive, by the way. Of course everyone ignores the truly progressive TV - GRIT TV, Current TV, Democracy Now! and other internet sources that show a less biased/money approach Yes, we will get a big part of the world's viewpoint - it can only help our rather "parochial" perspective here. Our news is definitely the shiite....biased, lying, hiding the facts or creating distraction...on both left and right. Truth is, there is no LEFT TV (except on those tiny example I give above) Even MSNBC is center right. FOX is so right wing it is merely a mouthpiece for the most right wing Republicans.
