banG, nor is the US, I'm understanding that we have one of the largest reserves on the planet, from SD to the North. Makes good sense to me Geographically speaking. No money to be made if we pull it out the ground ourselves. Our inabilities lack in the refinery industry. Yet, we need to spend billions on high speed rail? What in the hell? Money is manipulated through imports and exports, No body controls the market if you produce it yourself. It's just a mess. I suppose these folks are going to live forever. Strangely enough, when the land separated eons ago, the core never did. Their oil is our oil, right here in our own yard, might have to drill a little deeper to tap it. We are Dependant because "They", "Not we", choose to be. We don't need these folks for their oil. If it wasn't for the oil who would they be? Nobody. We built this country!
