Me and my wife heard about this post or should say the content of this post at the bank this morning. We were there to do some account adjustments when a gentlemen rushed in and wanted to know who he could talk to because he heard that the Dinar had revalued at 14 to 1. When the bank officer had settled him down, he explained it had not happened and that the banks would be the first to know. This all happened out in the main lobby of the bank. What is sad is that this man said he needed the money now and today. The bank officer told him the banks would know thirty days ahead of time before this would happen. What's sad is the man left the bank totally destroyed and wondering what he was going to do, you could see it on his face. These types of posts destroy more people then they help. They cause heartache and more stress then is necessary. Yes I hope for the best in this venture, but I also know that I will have to wait.

My husband decided in January that ir would RV and didn't have work and didn't look for work. Then when February came, he decided it would happen in February. It is evidently extremely difficult to add. 5 months from December 19 would be May 19. Add 14 days and that would be June 2nd. Then 36 hours would give you June 4th. I can't believe that is that difficult.

What bank is open on Saturday at 3:30 pm? What guy answering phones has accurate information on exchange rates when the presidents and vice presidents are so tight lipped?

My husband and I were at BOA yesterday to handle business and the lady that handles our account is very sweet. My husband asked her if the bank handled foreign currency and she said no. She also went on to say that they would have to get a De La Rue machine if they began to handle currency. she then asked what currency we were referring to and we told her IQD. she then said that she had heard that we were going to make a lot of money off of it WHEN it revalued. we asked her if ahe owned any and she said," no one at our bank owns IQD.". I didn't think too much about it until I read this post. I believe they can ask that question in order to protect themselves from the possibility of an insider trading accusation. She also said that the bank had not received any memos concerning impending changes.

No offense to all who replied, but this is way too important to listen to "I Think" and "from what I understand". PLEASE get with a tax attorney. You should be able to ask those questions without a charge for the information.

Why would the GOI want a summit to take place in their country if their people are protesting in the streets. That can't look good for them. I don't know if the RV would help solve some of their problems before the summit, but they are not solving them now.

Common sense says that Kuwait does not want their citizens to be wealthy and Iraq owes them a lot of money. If they buy Irraqi Dinar from their citizens at a price low enough to make some money after it RVs and high enough to entice their citizens to cash in before the true RV rate, then they have accomplished a lot in one day.

As the parent of a military active serviceman, I will tell you that they are taught to serve at all cost. They take their job a whole lot more seriously than you or I do. If those men or women do choose to walk away, they will regret it and they learn that before they ever get out of boot camp.

You are as bad or worse than the "gurus" you bash. For every rumor of tomorrow, you say later. Did you ever wonder how Obama can say that before his term is up, he will cut the deficit in half, or why he was working so hard to get the Bush tax cut for the rich rescinded? Also, we are not the only country that wants this RV. Ban Ki Moon is getting frustrated, too. There are a lot of things that point to an impending RV. No one does know the rate or date, but you are not the only one who has done research on this subject.
