Yes! Yes they are! They are so far removed from the real lives people live and the way that real people are supposed to act that they have no clue on how to serve the very people that elected them. So what do they do? They forget about us and serve themselves. I truly believe the few politicians who don't make the news are the ones trying to make a difference ( no matter how small) for you and I. They just keep getting trampled by the ones who have to prove on a daily basis that they could care less about you and I. They only care about the parties success! That puts the blame on both sides of the isle where it belongs!

Roger. When you said the two note would exist side by side I ASSUMED you meant that they would have the same value. That made no sense to me. I've heard that said before and could never figure out how that could be the plan. On the same page now.

Completely agree with everything you said. When I say I would be an looking for an announcement or clarity I was meaning maybe 1-3 days before the RV is implemented. If the CBI drew in the required amount of dinar to RV as planned , there really couldn't be a rush on the currency as it there would be only so much outside the CBI. If I was a business owner and I woke up one day and the dinar had RV'd it would be a nightmare for a day or two figuring out pricing and getting the smaller notes and fils to make change so I can do business. Maybe I'm reading into it to much. But that's what I do. I try to look at how the RV would affect those having to do business with it and "reverse engineer" if you will, to see how it would roll out. Kind of like planning for a mission. Visualize how you see it being executed, plan for contingencies and then get the materials, intelligence, weapons, vehicles and personnel to carry it out. Don't go on the mission first hoping you what you have is enough because you didn't do an "cause and effect" review or "threat analysis" first. Ah hell! What do I know? I know I want this done quick, fast and in a hurry!

Forgive me for being dense. I just don't see how that can happen. What will replace the 25000 dinar note ( worth $21 dollars) ? The 25? If that is the case then a RV will have to be in place along with smaller notes and fils. JMO. I don't know how 2 notes of different denominations can have the same value at the same time.

I guess what i'm trying to get at is you're saying that 25000 dinar will be worth 25 dinar until all the 25000 dinar notes are drawn in what will that mean for us who hold 25000 dinar notes outside of Iraq? Ive seen this said before. Wil this only be applicable to in country notes?

I meant will the small categories exist along the large currencies until the large currencies are phased out in Iraq only? What's your thought about large currencies outside of Iraq ?

Well yes. It happened due to sanctions placed on Iraq after the first Gulf war. So not a planned devalue as much as it was forced. I'll bet you all your dinar that there was a lot of confusion when it happened. I'll also go as far to say there was some announcement saying that it was going to happen as sanctions are usually announced before they take effect. In comparison, this has been an ongoing (years in the making), calculated and planned event with multiple articles saying the exchange rate of the dinar is going to raise and that the dinar is going international. But no time line and no exchange rate has been given. Understandable though as it has supposedly been delayed before. So with that in mind, if I were an Iraqi citizen I would be wanting more clarity. Especially if I was getting $600,000 dinar in a few days.

Sorry for the format and additional words. Doing this on my phone. I don't expect a 1 to 1 RV UNLESS the payment is on a card or placed into an account and will be adjusted as the RV occurs. But I would expect for that to happen those getting paid would have to be informed of a possible conversion of the monies wherever they are placed. I guess what I'm trying to get at is if we are that close (and I hope we are) there is going to have to be some information basically saying this is happening and this is how and when. Think about if someone put $500 USD in your account and then one day you woke up and it was only $50 USD wouldn't you want to know that was going to happen before it occurred? JMO

So FML is passed, the government is fully seated and there are articles saying they are going to pay salaries next " this" Tuesday. Are the Iraqi people expecting a rate change? A If $600,000 dinar actually gets paid out I don't expect a lot 1 to 1 RV. What say you? Anyone with contacts in Iraq?

Can you point me to the article about coins? The 50 note is intriguing but not as intriguing if they actually say they are going to issue coins. Even a mention of coins would peak my interest.
