  7. An upsurge in sectarian violence and growing anger over the payment of the world's best parliamentary salaries to MPs that had met just once since the vote has put party leaders under increasing pressure to seal a power sharing deal. A spokesman for Nouri al-Maliki, the serving prime minister, claimed an agreement had been struck for him to remain in office. Iraqiya, his main opponents who won most seats in the March election, denied that names had been agreed for individual posts. But Maysoun al-Damalouji, its principal spokeswoman, told The Daily Telegraph that negotiations were under way to share power. Ayad Allawi, Iraqiya's leader, had previously said he would not serve under Mr Maliki. But he has been unable to win acceptance for any other candidate, while Mr Maliki's Shia Muslim State of Law party, with Iranian support, was gradually building up a coalition that could have excluded him from power altogether. Washington was also keen to see a deal, fearing Iranian domination of any government without Iraqiya. Iraq's eight months without a government broke a unenviable world record. Both Iraq's neighbours and the United States, which plans to withdraw its last troops next year, feared a further breakdown of order. Iraqiya won the overwhelming support of the Sunni minority in the election, and it was feared that if it were shut out of the government militant groups including al-Qaeda would use the threat of Shia domination as a recruiting tool. By contrast, State of Law won the backing of the militant Shia party, the Sadists, whose leader is currently living in Iran. Ali al-Dabbagh, Mr Maliki's spokesman, said Mr Allawi had been asked to name the speaker of parliament. "There is a draft agreement with the Iraqiya party, but there are still some problems to resolve," he said. "Iraqiya has not agreed for the moment over which side will have the parliament speaker's position and which side will have the presidency," He said under the outline deal Mr Maliki would remain prime minister, while Jalal Talabani, from the Kurdish block which holds the balance of power, would continue in his post as president, a symbolic but less important role. Miss al-Damalouji insisted no deal had been agreed on names or parties for particular posts in meetings between the parties. "The truth is that they did not name names for these positions," she said. "All the discussions have been about devolution of power and power-sharing." However, she said Iraqiya would be attending a conference of the parties in the Kurdish autonomous region city of Erbil on Monday, at which a deal is expected to be announced. Parliament would then reopen on Thursday. "Hopefully the deal will reflect the size of each particular block," she said. Jamal al-Butikh, an Iraqiya MP, said the group had agreed to the power-sharing deal after it was assured that "no political decision would be made without its agreement." Iraq's deputy prime minister, Roz Nouri Shawes, who is head of the Kurdish negotiating team, also suggested the long-drawn out battle for a government might be drawing to a close. He said: "The work of the committees has ended and the forthcoming meeting will be held on Monday to discuss the three leading state positions – presidency, prime minister and parliamentary speaker." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/iraq/8116190/Iraqi-leaders-expected-to-form-government.html
  8. I spoke to two different fifth thirds here in tampa bay area and they both said it was no big deal to verify the dinar was real. Lady I spoke to said that they have all the info they need online to verify the bills. Neither one had even heard of a de la rue machine.
  9. This looks kind of interesting. From site that shall not be named From GENX……. Today at 9:58 pm What they are doing is several things, they are raising the par value to what I think is now $5.27 [calculated]. This raised in terms of value for the small denoms if the par value is $5.27 ; One Trillion 54 Billion dollars for the RIV. This why the RIV will be higher rather than lower. Fiat money does not have to exist to buy back the 3 zero bills. They just establish a value by selling replacement currency for more money value. What most people do not understand this is also raising or establishing more value by removing trillions of 3 zero bills from the M 2 which raises the value even more. Less money in circulation, less money means lower inflation and more value for each Dinar. The higher numbers are not a liability but an asset to the CBI. 10. "IMO we're gonna RV in the next 30 seconds." AAAHAHAHAHAAH!!!!  : Gonna be chuckling for days!!!!!!!
  11. I know this has been mentioned on here already. More "intel" on the subject. * the_oracle12 Post: 10/28/10 (Heavy Armor) October 28th, 2010 08:45 pm · I had a conversation with an Army friend of mine who was with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team ( BCT Heavy) in 2008. This is the same BCT that is scheduled to be in Iraq in early November (like next week early.) He reminded me that this BCT is labeled “Heavy” because they have a lot of armor (Bradleys and Abrams.) Well, why do we need armor rolling the streets of Iraq again after we said we have pulled out all combats troops? If you go back to just two days ago when Iraq Minister of Fiance Baqir al-Zubaidi met with US Forces Iraq Commander Austin and they discussed the “general” security situation in Iraq. Please, just think about that for a moment. When was the last time the Finance Mister from any country meet with the Commander of US forces? Not that I could recall. I believe this meeting was to go over the final details of the planned RV. This coupled with the recent news (rumors) arrival of lower denoms at the BIAP (Bagdad International Airport) leads me to conclude my following personal OPINION. Shabibi do not trust the Iraqi troops and police to escort the large amount of dinars to different banks and financial establishments when the trigger is pulled. Historically in Iraq armor is great for escorting these types of precious cargos around. There is no enemy in Iraq that can take on the awesome firepower of our armor. I know this because I did similar missions when I was there six years ago. So what I am trying to say…Folks be patience. I believe we will have RV before November 15. Resources will be in placed for it to happen. Good luck to all.
  12. Thank you for that zzzzzzzzz! I knew something was amuck. Amuck Amuck Amuck!! (spell check says I'm spelling amuck wrong...I've never had to spell amuck before )

  14. Joe..that gave me the chills!! Beautiful. The answers to our questions everywhere...if we'll only take a moment to be still and listen.
  15. I hate to break it to you but I live in Florida and we pay 7% state tax! Unless you know something I don't.
  16. I called 2 local Fifth Third branches (tampa bay area). The first one said they use information they get online to verify the authenticity of the dinar. Neither place made it sound as though it's a big deal to cash out. Walk in with dinar, walk out with either a wire transfer to your account or cash. They both said they DO NOT need to send out dinar in order to verify it's authenticity. Also said they can still order dinar and it would take about 2 weeks to get in. Keep in mind both places said you need to have an account with them in order to cash out. I would recommend you call your own local Fifth Third to verify this for yourselves, as it does seem that different branches handle things differently even if it's the same bank. Just my 2 cents.
  17. NO?? CRAP!!! I was starting to get a little light-headed
