You divided to get to .31 USD. The rate is being quoted at $3.22 per Dinar and requires no other conversion. So your $25000 (26250 IQD) vehicle is now costing Iraqi's 80,500 IQD not 7764 IQD. You are assuming that the vehicle price remains the same at $25,000 (26250 IQD) after the RV. I am suggesting that the dealer will say his cost of $12,500 he paid up front for the car in his inventory.... is the same as cash to him in his brain. So if his cash in his pocket is now worth $3.22 per dinar he will say that car is worth a sales price of ($25000x$3.22 or 26250 IQD x $3.22). My opinion is almost all prices on goods will go up relative to the exchange rate. That doesn't help anything. You cannot multiply IQD by the USD exchange rate of 3.22 , and ever get a value for IQD. You have to multiply IQD by the inverse exchange rate of 1 IQD/3.22 USD = .31 , to equal a new value in Dinars.

Rhnda, I really appreciate what appears to be an honest and frank reply.....Thank you. I feel pretty certain that your financial qualifications will outweigh mine. I simply own a small construction company struggling along here in southern Ca. That being said, I may be following the news related to this investment a little closer than you. Don't take that as criticism. Just that I may have a deeper interest, nothing more. Because your investment is smaller, you are probably not as interested in a daily basis. Especially since you are skeptical that anything positive will happen. But, if you are interested in presenting your strongest argument as to why this can't happen. I will give my best argument in favor. I noticed in a thread the other day that Adam hinted that the worse case scenario, there will be a LOP and that we will break even. I think on his part that was a very responsible post and probably a good idea to plant a passive seed regarding the more likely outcome of our dinar purchases...I think that as the year progresses and ends, and there is still no RV, this will become increasingly apparent to even the dreamers and the hopeful. Just make sure wherever you may invest or exchange, that you are not getting charged broker fees (like Ali will do). Your local bank should be just as trusted/legit a place as any...no worries...

Rhnda, I know your belief of the most sought for RV can be measured as a "hyperreal" number, but even so, my local everday in-state bank where I purchase dinar (with absolutely no fees), has ensured me that they have and will exchange the currency back to USD at anytime (again with no fees). The "brokers" are the SCAM

It might be more appealing if it was an investment guide for post RV...but a cash in guide? there are so many places and ways to cash in (without having to pay $150.00 per million) haha...no worries..

If the dinar RI's (re-instates) then the value will go back to what it was prior to the new dinar being issued, around $3.22 USD for 1 IQD RV (revaluation, revalue...etc) means exactly what it says. The dinar will have a new value placed on it, and i'll kiss your a** if anyone could predict what that might be...haha...no worries...

My local, regular everyday bank where I purchase dinar with absolutely no fees, has assured me more than once that they could and will exchange the currency back to USD anytime, RV or no RV. I cannot figure out why everyone is caught up on Ali? Maybe I missed something, but its like he has everyone brain-washed...
