While, I completely agree and have wondered and searched to answer those same questions, the majority of the people I have been able to tell seem very legit at least in thier belief, and do have a history here, but not of pumping rumors. Obvioulsy, that leaves the scenario of the same person feeding the info from Iraq to their different sources here, whether that be the grandson in Iraq, the father in the US, or the Contact in Washington. I do not know everyones situation, nor do I claim to, but I like you am interested in whats true and what is "pumpery". But I like putting the pieces of the puzzle together so this is fun Shawn

It is my understanding that banks can negotiate the CBI spread down based on Volume. So the bank is actually paying less than the posted CBI spread, but charging more to the average consumer. The deal that Adam struck is going to split the difference of the posted bank rate and the true rate that the bank is paying, which could be very beneficial to us. I could be wrong but that is my understanding. Shawn

There is ALWAYS a Spread look at this site http://www.fxstreet.com/rates-charts/ You will see the Bid/Ask That is the spread. The more volume there is in a currency the larger the Spread, and then the bank adds spread on top to make money, Ali is going to charge the CBI spread plus $150 per million Dinar. He is someone that has put in countless hours of work, and is gifted in being able to understand all of the legaleze involved in this process. In reality he is a nobody just like you and me, but through extremely hard work, and countless hours now understands the majority of this process. He is not some guru pumping intel, although that seems to be what some people are trying to turn him into, he is just a gifted businessman, that decided to dedicate the hours required to LEARN the things he did not understand about this process. He did this for his own personal reasons and was kind enough to share them here with us. Seemingly the only thing he wants in return for all of this work is just sincere gratitude from those that appreciate the work. I for one do very much because it speaks my language. The nuts and bolts of this process, not the supposed intel that so many recieve. The reason many people on here are so quick to jump on you regarding Scooter is that he has become a very valuable resource to us, and as such, we will protect him at all costs. My advise to you is please allow yourself to take the time to LEARN who Scooter is without us having to spoon feed it to you and then you can decide if you would like to stay on this forum or move on to another. AS it stands now, it sounds to those of us that wish to protect him, that you are just trying to bash him thus the responses that you kept getting. While I can agree with how you feel, this is a private site and can run by any rules it chooses to. Now I dont think the problem is with your post, but more that the site has gotten out of control the last few days and where do you start and to what extent to you "LOP" posts. while I am American and did not see your post, this is not a solely an american site and everyone needs to think a bit before posting. I did some simple math a few weeks ago on the GCC thing as I think this holds great importance to not only Iraq, but Kuwait. Kuwait has the one of the highest, if not the highest,(cant remember right now) value currency If they make a basket out of the current countries in the GCC wthout Iraq, kuwaits currency value will suffer a pretty dramatic loss in buying power, if based solely on oil reserves, and current value of currency If you add IRAQ into the equation with a value similar to Kuwaits that results are SOOOO much better for Kuwait especially, while the rest of them will come up drastically as well. With one the biggest gains coming from Saudi Arabia. Anways, I was never able to finish the analysis as my head exploded and had to move on to keep my sanity, but never the less it gave me enough to realize this was very important to the GCC, IMHO Shawn

The lack of explanation has puzzled me on this too. I have traded currencies for over six years and this one has me stumped as to why, or even what exactly it means.
