  1. Dude I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I've been around Charismatics and Pentecostals for 35 years. I have seen a lot of people "speaking a word from God". Most of them are flakes. A few of them I felt were legit, but none of the ones who were legit ever made investment predictions or gave dates about when something would happen. People who try to use God's judgment to intimidate others who might question their teaching, "prophecies", or actions have the wrong motivation. I will not be intimidated into keeping quiet when people who claim to speak for God teach heresy, exploit people, or give out false prophecies. If this guy is wrong it's because God didn't speak to him, not because God changed his mind. How absurd.
  2. I don't think Ron Paul's voice is any worse than John McCain's. Paul's problem in the last election is that he opposed the war in Iraq. There was no way the Republican party was going to nominate somebody like that. Had he won the nomination he might have defeated Obama, but you have to get nominated first. Paul is essentially a Libertarian. His foreign policy views are at odds with his party. He might stand a better chance running as an independent.
  3. Lopping 3 zeros leaves it at 85 cents. To arrive at 8 cents you would need to lop 2 zeros. To my knowledge they have never stated an intention to remove 2 zeros. They either say zeros or 3 zeros. The question is, what do they mean by removing 3 zeros?
  4. I was with this original poster up until the reference to smiling. I've noticed that most of these bank rumors make a reference to people smiling like they know something great is about to happen. Comes across as pumping in my book.
  5. He said that God revealed to him that the dinar would RV between May 29 and June 1 at $3.87 to $3.89. I don't care what he calls himself, if he says that God revealed this to him and it doesn't happen he's a false prophet in my book. The difference between GR and other gurus is that he claims that his source is God ... not somebody at the CBI, not a friend of a friend at the US Treasury, not boots on the ground in Iraq .... GOD! I think that's a little different from somebody just getting bad intel from a trusted source.
  6. My guess is that it was originally posted in Rumors and then a mod moved it to Opinions after the complaints.
  7. Nobody is bashing God in this thread. They're just questioning the idea that you can use scripture the way that you do to justify this so-called prophecy about the dinar. Look, if this guy is right I'll become his biggest fan. I'll even wear a GR t-shirt to the RV parties. But if he is wrong I intend to shout that fact from the rooftops to keep everybody from listening to anything else he says. And I mean he better be dead on, no wiggle room. If the rate is a dime off or the date is one day off I'm calling him a false prophet. The same thing goes for SteveI. True, he doesn't claim divine revelation, but he's on record saying he's 200% certain that there will be an RV by the end of May at $3.45 or more. He has three days to go before I start my campaign against him. If there's an RV at $3.88 before June 1 then I guess I'll put GR's photo on the front of my t-shirt and SteveI's on the back.
  8. Okay, so your bogus intel wasn't your fault? The problem is all of the ignorant, impatient, weak people out there listening to you? The problem is Iraq? Nobody forced you to rant "I'm calling it! We have an RV!" over and over like an imbecile. Nobody forced you to say "The rate will be released within a few hours!" Nobody forced you to claim that BondLady confirmed your intel which was blatantly false as she has now informed us. Grow up, blaino. Accept some responsibility for your words and your actions. There are thousands of people out there who (for whatever reason) have decided that you are worth listening to.
  9. Adam doesn't want DV to censor information out of concern that people will think we're withholding valuable information from them. He believes that it is best to allow rumors and "intel" to be posted and then subjected to the scrutiny of DV members. You'll notice that when blaino announced the RV last night and it was copied and pasted in our forum our members were calling BS on it. So anybody who might have been inclined to believe what blaino was saying would also have been able to read a few posts following his and find out that people weren't buying it and the reasons why. As it turns out we were right and he was wrong, and while some of these other sites were banning people for "bashing" and "negativity" DV stood out (along with a few others) as a beacon of truth. It's not a perfect system but I think it's the best one in the dinar world, given the amount of nonsense that goes on.
  10. I think Adam's silence speaks volumes. If there was anything to these rumors he would have said something by now. The fact that he hasn't said anything tells me that it's just another baseless rumor.
  11. I lived in Orlando, Florida for seven years. One winter it got down to 20 degrees. Since most Floridians don't have a coat (usually nothing more than a jacket) they were pretty cold, especially when Florida Power & Light ran out of electricity and resorted to rolling blackouts to keep people from freezing to death. (We only had 15 minutes of power per hour.) Granted that was an unusually cold winter, but the panhandle of Florida has freezes every year. I also remember one year it snowed in Ft. Lauderdale during spring break.
  12. The guy who addressed the layers issue also responded to the optimization and OCR arguments in this video. I've played around with Adobe products enough to know that he presents a compelling case. I've defended Obama a lot at this forum, but I have to be fair. Something here doesn't add up.
  13. You're new here, right? When there's no RV they will just come up with some lame excuse like "It was set to go live but then last minute complications arose .... " or ... "Hey, it's Iraq. Things change!" ... or maybe even "the system malfunctioned and they have to do some maintenance before the rate can appear globally" They have been saying it's done for the last 12 months that I've been following this investment.
  14. Somebody copied and pasted the PlanetD chat on BondLady's site, but she didn't confirm it. Just like posting another site's chat here doesn't mean that Adam confirmed it.
  15. The original post said she confirmed it. I don't see anything on her site that backs that up, though. I'm dismissing this until something more solid surfaces.
  16. BondLady is the only one mentioned with any credibility IMO. If not for her I'd completely dismiss this.
  17. Okay, I watched that video on the birth certificate and Adobe Illustrator/Acrobat and this is the first time I have felt that there was anything to any of these allegations about Obama. I'm not saying he's not a citizen but I do think he needs to explain the apparent tampering with the document. This reminds me of when CBS did a story on Bush's national guard service based on a document from the 70s that used fonts that weren't around until the 1980s. Dan Rather ended up losing his job over that one. This looks like a similar case of people who aren't very familiar with modern technology being caught with their hands in the cookie jar.
  18. No, I'm not prejudiced. I'm just saying you have to have a reason to impeach that meets the constitutional requirement of "high crimes and misdemeanors". I didn't vote for Obama and I'm pretty sure I won't vote for him in 2012, but I think you have to have a better reason that we've seen offered so far to impeach the guy. What crime has he committed? I didn't say it's all about race. I just mentioned that because I think it's clearly one of the problems that some people have with the guy. Other people don't like his perceived socialist agenda. And others don't like him because he's a Democrat. Whatever the reason the way to get rid of him is to present a better candidate in the next election. This birther issue isn't gonna do it IMO.
  19. Thanks Jim. I just feel that it's important to remind people that many of the things that are presented as fact in these dinar forums are in fact misrepresentations or complete fabrications. By saying that it was "done" for ten days before the rate went public in Kuwait he's suggesting that it is in fact "done" now in Iraq and we're just waiting for it to appear. I think it's pretty obvious that the reason the RV doesn't appear yet is that it isn't done yet. The KME guy is getting his thoughts posted all over the internet like he's some sort of expert when in fact he was posting here last year that he is an oilfield worker and has a total of $40 invested in the dinar. He's one of those guys who thinks that anybody who doesn't believe in an imminent $3+ RV is just negative or a basher. People like that are drawn to pumper BS like moths to a flame.
  20. It already has. It's called the state of Hawaii.
  21. Impeached for what? If you're going to impeach a president it helps to have an impeachable offense to charge him with. You can't just impeach him for being black or because you don't like him.
  22. If he's right about the RV I will follow any investment advice he gives, I don't care if he says to stockpile ten tons of corrugated cardboard.
  23. This is the latest from KME, a guy who used to post on this forum and somehow achieved guru status in record time. The question I have for him today (if he reads this) is "where did you get the information about Kuwait being "done and in the system for 10 days before cash-in"? Was that from official documents, a trusted source in Kuwait, or some dinar forum where pumpers post BS?
  24. What did you expect him to say, wayne? He wasn't at the meetings. So unless he has contacts who were there (which he doesn't, apparently) all he can do is either speculate or make something up.
  25. I appreciate your comments on fractional reserve banking. I think people need to take that into consideration. I guess I'm a little more optimistic than you are, although this has a tendency to wear you down. When I first bought dinar I figured it would take 2-5 years to reach the value of the dollar. That was a year ago so that would make it 1-4 years now. I got caught up in a lot of the excitement last fall and thought maybe there would be a $2 RV in 2010 but of course that has long since faded. At this point I'm pretty much back to where I was. If it RVs this year I think it will be considerably less than a dollar, possibly as low as $.27 like its neighbors in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and UAE. Like with you the money supply has been a big hurdle for me, but as their system becomes more electronic I think that becomes less of an issue because if you can create money out of nothing electronically you should be able to do the opposite, too. I don't think a lop will happen because they would probably have done it by now if that was their plan. But who knows? That's the crazy thing about this investment is that you really don't know what the plan is. When you invest in a stock or a mutual fund you have a much better idea of what is going on. This is a lot more like real estate speculation. You buy a piece of land and hold on for a few years thinking it will probably go up a little in value each year, but if a big corporation sets up an operation in the area the value could skyrocket. So you just sit there and wait for it to play out. I might be retirement age (I'm 54 now) before this all comes to fruition but I still believe it's a good investment. Thanks for the response.
