  1. I was in an auto accident tonight, sitting at a stoplight waiting for it to turn green and a young woman who had way too much to drink slammed into me from behind. She never saw me or the red light, and did not slow down or hit the brakes at all. I saw her coming but there was nothing I could do because in that situation you are a sitting duck. She was probably doing about 50 when she struck the back of my vehicle and when she hit, it knocked my car halfway under the overpass. I am okay and walked away from the accident but got the feeling that I was being protected from harm during the impact, like the hand of God or Holy spirit bracing me in the exact way to escape major injury or possibly worse. She was also without major injury as her airbag deployed and she was able to walk away from the incident. There were two police officers parked in a store parking lot right next to the intersection and they responded quickly as they could hear the crash from their location. I can't prove that it was luck or divine intervention, only will say that I am fortunate for whatever force guided me through that accident. Something was definitely watching over me during this time and for that I am grateful.
  2. There are some important things to take from this investment when it is over regardless of how much is reaped from it. Especially for those of us that have been in it for a few years, we have the willingness to put the time and patience in on an investment and have learned a great deal about an area that is far removed as well as learned much about currencies and exchange rates. If the dinar makes us some good money in the end that will be a story book ending, until the dollar crashes and the US of A becomes the US of China that is. If the dinar does not turn out to be the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, then I will look for another investment and apply all the things learned from this exercise. Be ready for the good, and be ready for the not so good, just do not throw the baby out with the bathwater if the latter is the case.
  3. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater...

  5. Making fun of possum is like poking a real opossum with a stick while it is playing dead. You should know the possum is not really dead, and if you call him out on it then he will jump back up and try to bite you. Possum is always posting intel that he knows is false intel, he is just living up to his name. We should all realize that his intel is suspect and take it for what it is worth. (Same as Okie, TerryK, Blaine, etc. etc.). It gives false hope to newbiies, they need to learn anyways so why not let a drunk possum teach the ropes at least he gives party advice and encourages family values on the side.
  6. A little girl walks into the bathroom and sees her older sister just come out of the shower. The young girl looks at her sisters private area and asks "What's that?" Her sister replies "That is my possum, sis!" The young girl replies "Oh, OK" The next day she sees her mother get out of the shower and a pointing at her private area again asks "What's that?" Her mother replies "That's my possum!" The young girl again replies "Oh, OK" The next day she sees her grandmother getting out of the shower and once again pointing at her private area asks "What's that?" The grandmother replies "That's my possum!" The young girl replies "Oh, grandmother, is your possum dead?" The grandmother, looking a little dazzled replies "No, deary, why do you ask?" The young girl replies "Oh, its just that your possums tongue is sticking out!"

  8. Or ground hog day! When does Bill Murray wake up and discover that the RV has happened instead of the same disappointment day after day after day? I sold off some of my Dinar holdings on Ebay to use for other purposes and it actually felt really good because I did not lose that money. That is the safety net of this investment, it is low risk, high reward. Although I still have plenty left if it ever does turn the corner I don't feel as much being held hostage by a bunch of corrupt evil minded greedy excuses for humanity, that is inclusive of Iraqi politicians and the Dinar pumpers that are both key players and they both are driven to increase their wealth and fortunes regardless of whose expense it may be at. That voice in the back of my mind keeps saying to me what good can come from lying in bed with a bunch of lying stealing cheating hoodlums? The usual answer to that question is not much good comes from associating with these types of people. Will this be the exception to the rule? Whatever the outcome I am dialing it down so that at least I feel like I listened to that voice a little bit, and put aside my own greed to separate myself a little more from the self indulged deceptive elements that are pumping and or controlling the direction of this investment.
  9. Selling over Ebay via secure Paypal transactions is getting $1125 per million.
  10. Selling 1 Million IQD. (25k uncirculated notes). $1060 per Million IQD. Paypal preferred. Thanks
  11. THE SKY IS FALLING, THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!!
  12. You might be crazy, but you are also right about some of the gurus giving the impression of leaning to the dark side. It's still Iraq, they are still sitting on a pile of black gold, and they are still way under the value of the neighboring dinars in relation to the USD. Change is hard and we all handle it differently. Thanks to the gurus for the information they pass on but as the end approaches the only person that can be trusted will be yourself. Trust and believe in yourself and the decision to make this investment, my guess is that the Dinar ends up in the same space where the rest of the Dinars in that region are, much closer to the dollar.
  13. Continuing in the same vein as this literal lop, how are the three zeros removed from the 50, 250, and 500 notes? I can't wait to cash these in at the new exchange rate. The verbage was removing three zeros, not two zeros, or one zero. Lopping is a radical move to achieve something other than increasing the value of the currency nationally and internationally. Walk through the lop scenario and let it break down on it's own, because it will.
  14. Okay let's take another angle, they have said that the plan is to enhance to value of the Iraq currency both nationally and internationally. Taking a literal interpretation of removing of the 3 zeros from the large notes (lop), if it does not affect the actual purchasing power of the currency then lopping does not accomplish this objective, if a country is not fighting inflation then why go to the trouble of lopping? If the lop occurs like some would have us believe then the exchange rate better get lopped right along side because : 25,000 IQD / 1170 = 21.37 USD 25,000 IQD - 3 zeros = 25 IQD / 1170 = .02 USD 21.37 dollars is not equal 2 cents Literal lopping makes no sense to Iraq, it's effects do not meet the stated objectives for the currency, common sense tells us that Iraq has immense wealth and low inflation, little debt. What is a lop going to accomplish for this country? Nada.
  15. If countries use the currency lop to historically fight hyperinflation or to expropriate wealth and neither is the case with Iraq, then why keep postulating the less probable. If the lop doesn't fit, why keep trying to force it in there? If Iraq does lop, they will reduce the wealth of the nation that have invested in it. They will reduce the wealth of the corporations that have invested in Iraq. This will bring investment in Iraq to a stand still. It will further devastate the Iraqi people. Unemployment will skyrocket as investors pull out. A lop would be devastating to their economy. If the lop glove doesn't fit, you must acquit......
  16. OKIE has been in the SMOKIE once again! Please open up a separate topic and title it storytelling for delusional pumpers high on bad grass.
  17. You should only believe half of what you see, and none of which you hear" It's spin time for the GOI and CBI. The speculators are going to pounce once the RV cat is out of the bag. Here Kitty, Kitty!
  18. Be careful that when the Dinar RV's that you are not off playing with your depreciated Dong!
  19. As it turns out these were unofficial results, there was a stewards inquiry on Random Watermelon and the decision was made to move CAN I GET AN RV and ALL MY HOPES AND DREAMS into win & place!
  20. Hmmmmmm, IMF requesting Iraq to undergo radical restructure of the tax system to support their vision for promoting the value of the Iraq dinar as a pre-requisite to keep granting them agreed upon loan money. Sounds like the IMF is starting to use their leverage on that stubborn mule known as Iraq to start pulling the RV wagon.....
  21. Kudos to you Inahurry if the RV dog gets off it's leash between now and 10/10, it would make your prediction rather accurate made back on May 4, 2010. I think that everyone will always remember 10-10-10 as it is the day of the RV. I will just have to wait until then to say I told you so...but then this site will not likely exist after that. Just in case "I told you so Rather impressive if it happens during this time frame, considering it was many months ago and there rates and dates flying around like crazy! Your obviously Inahurry for the RV but gave a date way down the line for it to happen. Patience is a virtue, way to go grasshopper!
  22. The Boy Who Cried Wolf There once was a shepherd boy who was bored as he sat on the hillside watching the village sheep. To amuse himself he took a great breath and sang out, "Wolf! Wolf! The Wolf is chasing the sheep!" The villagers came running up the hill to help the boy drive the wolf away. But when they arrived at the top of the hill, they found no wolf. The boy laughed at the sight of their angry faces. "Don't cry 'wolf', shepherd boy," said the villagers, "when there's no wolf!" They went grumbling back down the hill. Later, the boy sang out again, "Wolf! Wolf! The wolf is chasing the sheep!" To his naughty delight, he watched the villagers run up the hill to help him drive the wolf away. When the villagers saw no wolf they sternly said, "Save your frightened song for when there is really something wrong! Don't cry 'wolf' when there is NO wolf!" But the boy just grinned and watched them go grumbling down the hill once more. Later, he saw a REAL wolf prowling about his flock. Alarmed, he leaped to his feet and sang out as loudly as he could, "Wolf! Wolf!" But the villagers thought he was trying to fool them again, and so they didn't come. At sunset, everyone wondered why the shepherd boy hadn't returned to the village with their sheep. They went up the hill to find the boy. They found him weeping. "There really was a wolf here! The flock has scattered! I cried out, "Wolf!" Why didn't you come?" An old man tried to comfort the boy as they walked back to the village. "We'll help you look for the lost sheep in the morning," he said, putting his arm around the youth, "Nobody believes a liar...even when he is telling the truth!"
