The one point I would disagree with is that "any" country's currency is a "FIAT" currency. For a long time, a lot of countries backed their currency by something tangible, like gold or silver, Fiat currency, like the one we have now, is cheap, and worth only the "debt" that it promises. Currency backed by oil, or gold or silver are much more valuable. Iraq's Dinar will be backed by oil. The "powers that be" love Fiat currencies because they can print as much as they want and steal it.
