The head of the Islamic Supreme Council, Hamam Hamoudi, called on Saturday for the post-victory phase to be completely different from what preceded it in terms of government performance and the formation of the government.

"We are living in the post-victory phase of the Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani's fatwa and the blood of the people of Iraq," Hamoudi said in a speech at the opening of the International Bagrain Conference.

He added that "the post-victory phase must be completely different than before in terms of government performance and the manner of forming the government and the political and parliamentary movement and social mobility, commensurate with the greatness of victory and the location of Iraq and the privacy and grandeur of the goals set by the martyrs of the Baqirin."
