How much has the Iraqi War cost the US tax payers?

I BELIEVE IT'S JUST SHY OF 800BIL...DON'T REMEMBER WHERE I READ IT THOUGH

Hi ozman,

We are in the trillions at this point.

The number is too staggering for most of us to fathom. The US government should give the American taxpayers a full accounting of how they chose to spend our money.

The article today said over a cool Trillion.

And like Trump said today after Gadaffi is gone........"so what did we get out of it?". He's right, what did we get for our billion? Just like Iraq....we aren't even paying ourselves back by taking their oil. We've spent ourselves into oblivion and starring at the abyss right now financially. We are so stupid.

Originally it was said to be appx. $800 Billion, some have said we are closer to 3 Trillion now?...It has been said that between the war efforts, reconstruction efforts and oil developments, all combined, by the entire World...it is said to be between $12-15 trillion now?...I don't know...but who really does?...it has been said that Iraq actually has 2, and/or even 3 sets of books...and then the Federal Reserve, and our government, as per what they have or dont have, or what they have spent or missappropriated, etc.,etc., etc......I wont even go there...lol....

I agree with you. Thank you for your post. It is time for Americans to really understand how OUR tax dollars have been spent.

Your smart franckc. Not many Americans understand the financial implications of the Iraqi War.
