I have warka account done and funded, ISX trading number done. I have been trying to understand the simple way to read the stock values from website (ex: Aqaar 4.97 ) does 4.97 mean USD per share? What exactly is the the value of 4.97 = USD?

Am I also correct that with Warka there is a 200,000 minimum share purchase per transaction?

Hi and welcome to the ISX. It means 4.97 IQD. A very good buy. And yes I believe per transaction. Be patient whenyou put your order in and also you can only purchase stocks which are trading. ISX.com shows you which stocks are currently trading.

Good trading

Frank

Thanks for responding, it is like pulling teeth to get a response so I really appreciate it.

So when I go to the isx website per what you said all the prices are in IQD, so if I wanted to buy 1000 shares of Aqaar @ 4.97 it would be 497000 IQD?

Sorry for the simple questions but there is not a lot of info out there to figure out how to read the ISX page.

Do you know if Warka has a 200,000 shares per company transaction?

I've never heard that about the minimum. To MY knowledge, you fill out your "buy" sheet, and warka facilitates the rest.

Question: How did you go about getting your info to and from the Iraqi embassy? Kinda play by play me. Email? USPS? Does the embassy forward your info to ISX? How long did you wait?

I finally got my Warka account today, and i'm extremely excited! Just wanting to push on, and like you said, it's like pulling teeth to get info. Adam has an example of the buy sheet you use to purchase in the ISX forum...somewhere. Best of luck. We're in something special. And if you have any help w/ the embassy stuff, much appreciated. Chao.

P.S. I've emailed the Iraqi embassy more times than i can think trying to find out their protocol. So any help you can offer would be nice. Thanks again, and best of luck.

I can get you the exact info tomorrow as all my paper work is there, but in short you have to send a check (if individual) for $103 to US Emabassy Iraq along with paperwork with a return address envelop. It is a very fast process actually ( ithink it took me like a week to get it all back) From there you send it to Warka Bank Bagdad attn ISX dept.

As i said can get exact info tomorrow with addresses for all.

rochesternewbe, yes the minimum buy is 200,000 SHARES per company. I asked this same question to the ISX Dept and they were very clear in pointing that out.

Therefore if you wanted to buy Aqaar, you would be buying 200,000 shares @ 4.97 IQD per share. That totals out at 994,000 IQD.

If you have questions, just email the ISX Dept and CC Mr. Issa. I have received responses the very next day. They even sent me a sample Buy Order.

Good Luck on you investments!
