Muhammad
Warka Bank for Investment and Finance is the first bank in Iraq that delivered the ATM service through an accessible network of more than 134 ATMs covering all Iraqi governorates, this number will be grown to reach more than 345 ATMs In the nearest future to serve our respected customers in all Iraqi governorates. An ATM would normally restrict a certain withdrawal limit of hard cash to each account holder. If they have neither revalued IQD not lopped its zeros first but let's say, with a sudden, they would decide to introduce new currency in smaller denominations next week to facilitate daily uses within Iraq and outside Iraq, how much limit each and every ATM's money dispenser would be installed with IQD inside it? As usual, the bank security officers may come once or twice to fix each money dispenser into an ATM containing all larger denominations of IQD amounting to about, say, 100,000,000 IQD in total for withdrawal of the day. After the smaller denominations might be introduced, it mightn't be easy for the same bank security officers to come once or twice to fix up the same to ensure that 100,000,000 IQD should be in total for withdrawal of the day. Because the new currency consisting of all the smaller denominations in each and every ATM wouldn't be 100,000,000 IQD in total for withdrawal of the day anymore - it might be half lesser. The sizes of the money dispensers mightn't be specially enlarged to be installed inside the same ATM unless they have to change all the ATMS, altogether. Ask any reader here who are still working or might have worked for an ATM company associated with Iraqi banks or whatever banks. You'd see, it is indispensable and imperative to revalue IQD soon, if not sooner, to facilitate the use of ATMs within Iraq and soon worldwide. Can we bribe the technicians working for Warka Bank to give us some clues or new leads pertaining to an RV? They might be the second group next to CBI to know an RV is coming soon at the exact date and rate with certainty.
tim5400
Interesting take on the RV situation. I think its another piece of the complex puzzle we all are trying to figure out. wusObie
Muhammad,Interesting Observation. I am wondering in these ATM's have built in coin dispensers as the cbi website shows coins that are to be released. Does anyone know the answer to this???Warka Bank for Investment and Finance is the first bank in Iraq that delivered the ATM service through an accessible network of more than 134 ATMs covering all Iraqi governorates, this number will be grown to reach more than 345 ATMs In the nearest future to serve our respected customers in all Iraqi governorates. An ATM would normally restrict a certain withdrawal limit of hard cash to each account holder. tabi
The smallest I've seen an ATM give is a $10usd. We get change from purchases after that. Coins...Really?!
DmsC
I know as americans it is hard for us to think of coins as dollars since we seem to be very against that Ie. Susan B Anthony etc, however while in England and in other places in Europe in the 90's I would find 1 5 and 10 "$" coins. This isn't all that far fletched of an idea to have these coins out there. tabi
I don't find coins unrealistic. I find getting $1-$10 from an ATM unrealistic.
allIneedisonemillionusd
This same idea was on a couple chats early this morning. I agree watching the ATM situation could give us a clue on the RV. Goes without saying that a more valuable currency would need to be in place to use the ATM's. Unless they kept the same thing and just loaded them with 10K and 25K notes, but all the news about changing the currency lends itself to an RV as well.
