Well, I suppose it’s a a place to begin.

President Obama is finally saying “drill baby drill.” Now if only the story finished right there. Then we could probably give him this week’s Sarah Palin Awakenings award.

The problem is that Obama is foolishly calling on every other oil producing nation with the exception of the United States to increase the supply in a desperate attempt to save his presidency…...That means…...lower the price at the pump anywhere in the USA.

President Barack Obama said on Tuesday oil producing countries should increase their output to curb the rise in gasoline prices because “if we’re not growing, they’re not going to be making money either.”

“We’re talking to oil producers around the world and letting them know it’s in their best interest to make sure that high oil prices don’t end up hurting the world economy,” Obama said in an interview with the CBS affiliate WTKR in Hampton Roads, Virginia.

Tell me now, Mr. President, isn’t the US part of the “world economy”? You wouldn’t think so given how America’s oil production potential feels more ignored than the air traffic controller’s No-Doze dealers.

Obama isn’t including the US in his call to increase oil output — in fact quite the opposite. The Environmental Protection Agency just blocked Shell from beginning to drill the estimated 27 billion barrels of oil that the US Geological Survey estimates is under the US portion of the Arctic near Alaska. The west Texas oil industry could be stopped in its tracks because of some stupid lizard. The Gulf drilling moratorium has helped crippled domestic oil production for years to come along with killing who knows how many jobs.

Additionally, the Obama administration wants to end billions in subsidies to domestic oil companies all while the US is set to loan nearly $3 billion to Colombia for upgrades to their refineries in that country. I guess Obama thinks these are some good places to start before going around panhandling for oil.

What makes Obama’s “increased output” plea even more ridiculous and perplexing is that high gas prices are now suddenly not the fault of speculators as was previously scapegoated by the Obama administration. Now I’m more confused than Janet Napolitano after being told that an IED was found on a Texas roadside right after she delivered one of her speeches about how secure the southern border is these days.

All of a sudden Obama thinks convincing oil producing countries to increase output will lower the price at the pump in America??? That is a totally ridiculous concept. It’s funny how fast Obama can flip flop when it is to his re-election benefit. If Obama wants to know what’s contributing to high gas prices for Americans, all he’s got to do is ask his EPA administrator: Quoting her now, “What appears to be the most important factor at work is our dependence on imported energy,” she said. “This is what leaves us vulnerable to jumps in prices. When something changes thousands of miles away, the American people pay for it at the pump.” Well.........give that lady a big fat cigar! By jove, I believe she’s got it!

This comes from the same EPA that says this stuff out of one side of their mouth while out of the other side they will deny a domestic drilling permit if there’s a **titmouse within 500 miles… 800 miles if it’s got asthma!

If this sounds a bit sarcastic, well, that’s because I’m holding myself back. There is a lot more I would like to say to Obama and his progressive liberal communist pals but nobody would probably print it or want to read it in mixed company. But sadly, it’s not just all about Obama. This kind of crap has been happening all the way back to Jimmy Carter. If a Republican candidate wants to stand for something, a stand for America’s oil industry would sure be a good place to start. Come to think of it, I would like to see a candidate who stands for anything at all besides so much bugle oil. All we ever hear these days is what the candidates are against. Big deal! WHAT ARE YOU STANDING FOR MR. CANDIDATE???

All I can say is if we have another 4 years of Obama-nomics America will be finished

and out of existence before the next election in 2016.

Our next president if we even get one may just be chosen for us by the Chinese.

CONUS has within her borders over four hundred years of proven oil fields. These fields can be accessed easily. The problem is the silent majority. A few extremists have aligned themselves in power positions counting on the majority to be chumped. The silent majority is too concerned with the behavior of their favorite actors and physically appealing political candidates. It is our fault for giving the fox charge over the hen house...

Bang, I've watched your posts for the past few months and you're right on with your points of view! With 3 tours over there I do understand. For the love of Pete......CAN WE HAVE A DO OVER!!! I am absolutely beside myself over the crap he have endured over the past 2+ yrs. I'm not going to vent on here as this is neither the time nor place for that but, just fair to say that the "vibe" is strong for opposing our current radically liberal and PC indoctrinated environment.
