k98nights
23 December 2010 - 15H36 Iraqi forces have arrested 93 suspects, including 60 wanted men, in a crackdown on Al-Qaeda in Anbar province, defence ministry spokesman Major General Mohammed al-Askari, pictured in 2009, said. AFP - Iraqi forces have arrested 93 suspects, including 60 wanted men, in a crackdown on Al-Qaeda in Anbar province, defence ministry spokesman Major General Mohammed al-Askari said on Thursday. "A large military operation targeting Al-Qaeda and their sleeper cells was launched overnight" Tuesday in Anbar, western Iraq, Askari said. "Ninety-three suspects were arrested, including 60 wanted men," he said, adding that ammunition had been discovered as well. The operation was jointly launched by the army, police, pro-government tribal forces and members of the Sahwa, or anti-Qaeda militia, Askari said. The aim of the operation is to "secure Baghdad and not give any opportunity for Al-Qaeda to carry out terrorist actions, by arresting its members," and to "achieve security and stability in all Iraq," he said. Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki named security as one of his three top priorities after parliament on Tuesday approved his nomination for a second term of office and gave its stamp of approval to his national unity government. http://www.france24....nti-qaeda-sweep

Geck
Nothing says Sovereignty like kicking arse and taking names for your country's beliefs and safety. The Iraqi's are there. Let's RV this bad boy and let 'em live their lives. 1
Thor363
One more reason I believe that Iraqi's want their freedom to live their lives and raise their families in peace, as we also do. Great post k98, I owe you a Monte Christo #4 or maybe something better

quadraph0nic
Seee Look at that! They know who is what and where they are at. They probably sat back and laughed at us until we started turning stuff over... Now....will they give some of these guys a trial or will they just execute them? This a brutal place but if they execute some of them, this will definitely send a message to al qaeda combine that with an RV and over a little time, all those foreign fighters will leave because it's way to difficult to maintain operations. Every iraqi citizen will turn on them because their loyalty would cost too much. Saudi needs to give up and realize that this ship is moving forward. GO RV!!
