cormandad
I was told that if you fly with dinars in your possession it is best to box them up as if mailing the package, addressed and postage stamped on the package. TSA is not allowed to open boxes. Is this true? If not, what is the best way to travel-fly- with dinars in your possession. bluejay
I would belive that the TSA can open anything they choose. The problem with flying is you have to disclose the amount that you are bringing with you, I have seen people say before the law states you must disclose USD, but not IQD. My opinion don't risk it, your money can be frozen from you for years, Just My Opinion, check with your local expert.
TomballDinar
IMO, that is not accurate. The only law that's out there is to prevent someone from tampering with mailboxes or removing mail that are not addressed to you. There is no law (that I can find/google) that even prevent you from opening mail that is not addressed to you. For example, if mail was delivered to you by mistake that is addressed to someone else, it is not illegal for you to open it. Therefore, I dont think TSA will have restrictions. I think there is always a risk factor with the minimum-wage TSA. Remember, this is CASH. Imagine carrying millions in USD on plane.... it's the same. firefighter_218546
TSA can do what ever they want.. Think about it they have the right to search anything they might think it has some powder substance in there that could get everybody sick on the plane.. I suggest that you put it in your wallet .. The way I got it home from Iraq the 1st time was I carried it in a book in my computer bag and had some in my wallet. The next time I got it home from Iraq was mailing it, which you can't do the post office will not let it get thru, but I placed my bills in a couple of books and mailed a bunch of books home they didn't even check the books. derrick rose
Just rent a car and drive. Why fly and risk the TSA confiscating everything or putting you in the backroom for questioning. Just pop in your favorite CD and enjoy the ride, cash in, and drive back home for the party!

AVOID BACK ROADS (roads may be less smooth, which could lead to tire damage) 3.) DON'T SPEED. (Might get pulled over and get your car searched) 4.) CHECK THE REAR VIEW MIRROR (if you feel like you are being followed, you probably are; just drive directly in front of a semi and stay there until they stop following you. 5.) TAKE A RENTAL CAR (if you take your own car, anyone following you can find out your name and where you live my running your license plate numbers) 6.) Kingdom Focus
The only thing I am aware off as to money and airlines is this. When you fly outside or into the US, you are not allowed to bring anymore than $10,000 without a declaration, although that may have changed since 01 when I last flew back into the US. I am not aware of having to declare anything if one is flying internally, and I have flown 5 times this year, and have never been asked about money. Although, I have heard, and I think it was on this site, that if one has a large amount of cash, that you speak to the TSA first and they apparently will escort you. Just my 2cents worth. WhiteKnight
Sorry. If this were true all terrorist would need would be a roll of stamps. or drug dealers...........lol. Surely if they are taking taking nude photo's of you or a heavy pat downs do you real think they are going to say " I wish I could open that box but it has stamps on it so I can't." a little common sense goes a long ways. I have heard the same rumor about truck drivers who ran two logbooks they kept a large envelope ready and would slid it in if pulled over by the DOT. I do not think that worked either.
