I gave you a + for an out-of-the-box analysis. Don't forget that their 25K notes are trading like our $1 bills, so their 3-zero currency probably has a short shelf life. On the other hand their currency does not have to pass the test of ATM usage so their notes probably are pushed beyond the normal wear-and-tear of a USD bill. Not sure if there is a replacement program that is accounted for in their money supply numbers? You might want to check that out if the information is available.

IMO The official news is always one-two days late. The intel is only good for for as long as it takes to share, even from the most reliable sources. His back-door attempt, through their version of our Supreme Court, to exercise control over the money (CBI), the elections (election ministry) and the oversight of these (accountability ministry) has postponed the process by at least a month. This really should have been completed in December. Once a fox is spotted the chickens get nervous and every avenue of threat becomes subject to inspection and re-inspection. Maliki is really an unbelievably poor choice for IRAQ. The RV is coming, the real victims (everyday Iraqis) are about to make their voice heard if they do not get the relief accompanied by the economic activity that will attend it.

MrParrot your still slightly off in regards to the party planning process. First you go on holiday for a week..... then you have the meeting to plan for the meeting at which a decision will be made to vote...... after which the first reading will occur followed by a whole bunch of other stuff before amendments are added and voted on immediately following a "super special" holiday....... that will then result in a second first reading followed soon after by a court ruling followed by a first second reading followed by a planned vacation after which the third reading will be voted on and the results being immediately sent to be published at a secret location to be announced sometime in the future in a language none of us can read. A friend who lives on the opposite side of the country called me on the phone and we began brainstorming soon after the Iraqi invasion about investment opportunities. We were aware of the previous Kuwaiti RV . We heard through the grapevine that you could buy IQD for a ridiculously low cost. The problem for me was the currency was being sold out of the trunk of some guy's car traveling through Canada and I was not willing to track the guy down. My friend apparently found a legitimate dealer several years ago and started to purchase the currency. He told me last year that it was looking promising and that he had found a US Treasury certified dealer from who I could easily purchase the currency. He told me that it was a good thing I did not purchase it when we first thought of doing it because I would have gotten the old Saddam currency. Although I did hear a rumor that there was on opportunity to exchange it when the new currency came out, I can imagine it was probably a hassle to make the exchange at the time. So this was always a legitimate investment to my thinking. What country can function without a reasonably valued currency, really? To me it was a larger but similar version of the Kuwait situation. However, I am fortunate, no blessed, to have spoken to my friend about this investment again last year before it RVed. It totally fell of my radar. Anyone who happen to hear about this in the last year and acted on it should count their blessings and be thankful to the person who told them about it. You could have been in this investment for seven years or, worst yet, never heard about it.

Folks this is clearly meant to keep their employees. An employee will typically idolize a large powerful employer and believe them over some Dinariac claiming big fortune in the future. Internal company memos are probably not illegal, however, if they were to be purposefully circulated to non-employees then there might be an issue. The corporate banker's view of this is: "a little damage control. After all you do still want skilled banking employees working at your bank after the RV don't you?". The banking industry in my estimation will have the largest employment demand in the country after this RV. However, not everyone will be duped by this scam-rumor. I see this as yet another unaccounted-for poisonous side-effect of a delayed RV, and heads will and should role. My opinion on this is that it is wrong to lie to those that are deserving of the truth, and certainly their employees are deserving of the truth. However, I have never viewed BOA as particularly interested in anything other than the legality of their decisions.
