إستقبل فخامة رئيس الجمهورية جلال طالباني في بغداد، اليوم السبت 13/11/2010، فخامة الأستاذ طارق الهاشمي الذي جاء لتقديم التهاني بمناسبة انتخاب الرئيس طالباني لولاية رئاسية ثانية، متمنياً له الموفقية والنجاح وعبر عن استعداده لتقديم كل أنواع المساعدة من أجل إنجاح هذه الفترة الرئاسية. Met with His Excellency President Jalal Talabani in Baghdad on Saturday, 13.11.2010, His Excellency Mr. Tariq al-Hashimi, who came to offer congratulations on the occasion of the election of President Jalal Talabani for re-election, and wished him Muwafaqiya and success, and expressed its readiness to offer all types of assistance for the success of this presidential term .

وأوضح الهاشمي للرئيس طالباني إن الذي حصل يوم الخميس 11-11-2010 داخل قاعة مجلس النواب من قبل أعضاء قائمة العراقية كان نتيجة عدم وضوح الصورة لدى بعضهم ولم يكن مقصوداً أو بسوء نية. Hashemi said President Talabani said that what happened on Thursday 11/11/2010 in the Council Chamber of Deputies by the members of the Iraqi list was the result of the lack of clarity of the image of each was not intentional or in bad faith.

من جانبه شدد الرئيس طالباني على أن المرحلة الجديدة لن تكون على أساس المشاركة بالحقائب والمناصب فقط وإنما مشاركة حقيقية في الرؤى الوطنية التي من شأنها خدمة العراق وشعبه، مشيراً إلى أهمية أن يدار البلد بالوئام والتعاون بين جميع الأطراف التي ينبغي عليها العمل كفريق واحد. بدوره أشاد الأستاذ الهاشمي بدور الرئيس طالباني في لم الشمل العراقي، مؤكداً إن على جميع الأطراف تخفيف الخلافات فيما بينها للسماح لعجلة التقدم بالدوران نحو الأمام.
