Hi guys,

This is just my 2 dinar worth:

Whilst many of the intel point to 12 Jan09 (since we have already missed the monday RV), there is likelihood that more banking laws need to be enacted before RV can happen.

If customers' deposits cannot be garanteed, would anyone with substantial sum deposit money in Iraq. without substantial deposits, where can bank loan out money for the reconstruction or other commercial purposes?

Iraq wants to rid of its tag as a 'corrupt' country, more laws would have to be in place apart from just having a democratic national election.

An Rv at this time may run counter to this.......politics aside.

Like everyone else, I too would love to realise my investment ASAP. The recent roller-coaster rides have been unnerving....and energy-swapping.....

IMO...RV will only happen after election unless Maliki decides that his political future is more important...... :)

I hope this assessment is wrong..........will certainly be very happy if RV comes earlier

muydinar,

If you are referring to the original article, please remember that the original could be in Iraqi language which is then hurriedly translated by an Iraqi. Am quite sure their grammar structure is quite different from the English language. Typo errors are common from anybody in a hurry to get the translated article out.

Please have the grace to look beyond and try to understand the content instead... :)
