  4. like the thought process very suspicious of anyone with this investment who says "not going to happen"
  5. Bush is in Iraq? Ok so I am not a republican. But my father (a republican) always taught me that the presidency is a respected and celebrated position. I respect him for being there if true. Ok so bash my politics all you want but respect what any president has to go through each day after he (or she) puts their pants on! Ops it says "Bush in Kuwait". Same thought. Us dems have reading comprehension issues issues!!
  6. This should be a lesson for democrats and republicans in this country. Don't let the wounds go so deep we let it set us apart for generations!
  7. I am not a "newbie". I haven't posted much over my time on this site. I keep a low profile garneshing the positive (even if it is suggestive of negative outcome of this investment), and credible info that I don't have the time or expertise to collect. I have also contributed $s to the site as a VIP for awhile. So much for my catholic angst. The subject is, I actually came across some positive info (IMO). I recently went top a work related conferance meeting up with professional and social friends. One friend has a new boyfriend whom I had the chance to get to know pretty well in several days. He seemed honest, sincere and has spent the last 8 years with DOD (dept of defense, I had to ask) in either Iraq or Afghanistan. My business partner who is in military confirmed after a good a mount of friendly conversation his credentials real and impressive . Enough said on that other than he is also fairly high on the food chain in that organization. The crowning moment came at dinner when in front of my business partner (who has joked about my longstanding investment in dinar at great length over the years) I asked if he had any thoughts on the dinar. he proceeded to give a sober acct of his success with the Kuwait Dinar, the rules by which people in his position have to live by in regard to such an investment (ie primarily that they can only take some much out of a country we invade he quoted 10 thousand dollars in investment least being consider pirateering if I am correct) and the fact that he had after all his activities "in country" concluded it was a very solid investment with great long term prospects. That was the only rub. In his opinion it will be Iraqi infrastructure and the terrible shape it presently is in rather than government issues that will hold up the ultimate value of the dinar. The sad news he quoted the possibility of "years". My partner proceeded to take a long swig off his drink fire away with questions, most already nicely answered to my satisfaction by folks on this site. He then grilled me on the drive home as to how to "get in". So nothing earth shaking. Nothing new. Just info that makes me feel a bit more secure on this investment. So I will now fade back into the shadows. I thank all those here who stay rational and do work I don't as said have the resources for. I am humbled by the men and women of the military who stand in harms way in the name of duty and honor.
  8. Thanks from those short on time for catching and posting these chats when they come up

  15. I am trying to avoid seeing things only in light of what is best for me. But consider this, half of how currency works is psycological. We have faith in the dollar. What Iraq's need is faith in the dinar. When you have to buy a loaf of bread for 25,000 dinar there is no faith. So set up a value system with the big players before an RV. Example say to China you hold dinar now worth little but we all agree it revalues to say the value of the Euro and together we all agree to support that value for a year. That allows you to forgive debt now (done), have significant buying power at least for that year but most likely longer. Over that year of stable value the denominations are allowed to rearrange. That means when I go to cash in my large denominations I now have faith in the dinar, ie I bet it will go higher, I take some back in the form of dollars or euros and dinars of appropriate denominations. After stability period the people of Iraq can now buy a loaf of bread for 4 dinars, they have not themselves rushed to buy up dollars because one it isn't the legal currency where they live but they now also have faith in the dinar. At that point the value is let to float in the world currency market, all the high denominations have been retired. And then we either win or loose again depending on what world markets look liked in a year. This is all IMO based on following this for a couple of years. I am not an economist.
  16. be careful till chat functional may jam your computer up
  17. I feel pretty confident I can resist the slickest advertising scheme without problem BUT the ads do let me know who is out there. I have no problem with seeing dinar specific ads. It would be nice if they were not pop ups that required me stopping to respond by Xing them out. Thanks for asking.
  18. What I like most about your post is that it recognizes what used to be one of Iraqs strongest assets, agriculture. I hope it doesn't become a one horse town.....OIL
