The American dollar is in bad need of a makeover. Thanks to the Dollar ReDe$ign Project, we may now have some options.

Organized by creative strategy consultant Richard Smith, the Dollar ReDe$ign Project is soliciting ideas for the dollar bill of the future. "Our great 'rival', the Euro, looks so spanky in comparison it seems the only clear way to revive this global recession is to rebrand and redesign," the project notes on its website.

I think this is terrible and it's going to take a lot more than a makeover of our currency to get the US out of a recession. Maybe Obama is thinking that if the Dinar RV's we need to make our money more colorful and it will be worth more too....of course I'm sure he'll do anything just to get his picture on one.

Im all for a new design on the currency but the presidents should never be changed. They were the ones that were put on them and they were done for a reason, whatever it was.

If Obama picture goes on the 1 Dollar Bill, I will use quarters for small purchases, no matter how inconvienient it is. It is a matter of principle to me.
