A number of fans present at the Palm Trunk Stadium in Basra province on Thursday chanted slogans demanding a reduction in the dollar exchange rate, coinciding with the moment of entry of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Sudani.
 
A video circulating was followed by Baghdad Today, the moment the audience chanted: "The dollar went down... The dollar came down" in the vernacular.
 
The exchange rates of the dollar have been jumping against the Iraqi dinar for weeks, and have reached their maximum today, reaching 166,000 dinars per 100 dollars.

The 25th Gulf final between our national team and its Omani counterpart kicked off shortly
at the Basra International Stadium (the trunk of the palm tree), in the presence of a large audience.

Our national team's basic squad includes goalkeeper Jalal Hassan, in the
defense line Durgham Ismail, Mustafa Nazim, Ali Fayez and Ali Fadel, and in the midfield, Ibrahim
Baish, Amjad Atwan, Amir Al-Ammari, Hussein Ali and Sherco Karim, and in the offensive line Ayman Hussein.

As for the basic Omani squad, it includes goalkeeper Ibrahim
Al-Mukhaini, in the defense line Ahmed Al-Kaabi, Fahmy Dourien, Ahmed Al-Khamisi and Muhammad Al-Musalmi,
