Zabihullah Mujahid: The Taliban will demand financial compensation from Washington for the military campaign

Zabihullah Mujahid, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information for the interim government of Afghanistan, said that his country's new government will demand financial compensation from Washington.  

  

 

  

He stated that this would include compensation for civilian casualties and damage caused by attacks on infrastructure during the US military campaign in Afghanistan.  

Mujahid added: "The American strikes have made mistakes many times, which led to damage to homes and mosques, and led to the death of civilians and the destruction of medical facilities. Therefore, we will demand compensation."  

 

The Deputy Minister indicated that the government is busy today resolving internal issues, so the issue of compensation will take some time.  

Zabihullah Mujahid said: "We hope that in the future we will be able to realize the right of the Afghan people to receive financial compensation, and start the process of rebuilding the country that suffered during the American war."
