Baghdad - IQ

The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, said on Sunday (May 9, 2021) that his government has implemented strategic projects in the region despite Baghdad not sending its financial budget for 11 months.

Barzani explained, in his speech during the inauguration of a tourism project in Dohuk that is affiliated with the  IQNEWS website ,  "The regional government program consists of two main objectives, the first is reform and the second is the diversification of economic resources," indicating that "the regional government is working to expand the sectors of agriculture, industry and tourism and not rely on one source." Only for imports. "

He added, "We started with reforms despite their difficulty and the presence of obstacles before our government to impede its implementation," stressing "the continuation of work on implementing the reform program."

Barzani added, "We faced a difficult year due to Corona, the drop in oil prices, and the poor economic situation, which significantly affected the living conditions of citizens," praising "the role of citizens for their confidence and support for the regional government."

He explained that "the Iraqi government did not send the budget for the Kurdistan region, 11 months ago," noting that "despite this, we were able to continue and establish strategic projects  ."

Barzani assured "the citizens that the region will witness economic development," stressing at the same time "the importance of maintaining political and security stability in the Kurdistan region."

Shafaq News / The President of Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani confirmed on Sunday that the Iraqi government has not yet sent the region's share of the federal financial budget for the year 2021.

This came in his speech on the sidelines of the inauguration of a "cable car" project in the "Zawa" mountain in the Dohuk governorate.

Barzani said in the speech that this project is not in the interest of the citizens of Dohuk only, but rather all of the Kurdistan Region, stressing that the regional government program is based on two main matters, one of which is reform and the other is the diversification of internal revenue sources.

He added that the Kurdistan Region is available to impose larger investment projects, adding: We have overcome difficult years and there is no doubt that a promising future awaits us.

Barzani went on to say: We want to pay more attention to the tourism, agricultural and industrial sectors, and we are working to develop the private sector in the region.

The regional government chief continued by saying: The outbreak of the Corona virus, the drop in oil prices, and the economic crisis that the world witnessed have a negative impact on the Kurdistan Region, expressing his thanks to the people of the region for their steadfastness in facing these difficulties and their support for the regional government.

Barzani pointed to the issue of delay and deduction of salaries, saying: The region's share in the federal financial budget for the current year has not yet arrived, and we hope that it will be sent soon to address these problems.

Masrour Barzani had inaugurated the Jabal Zawa cable car project in Dohuk, which has a height of 500 meters and a length of 2,800 meters, at a cost of 30 million US dollars.

The information / Baghdad ..
The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed, on Wednesday, the completion of the federal government's readiness to hand over Kurdistan's dues within the budget, indicating that a Kurdish delegation will visit Baghdad to reach an understanding on the mechanisms of launch.
A member of the committee, Sherwan Mirza, said in a statement to Al-Maalouma that "a technical delegation from the Kurdistan region will visit the capital, Baghdad, after Eid Al-Fitr, to discuss the mechanism for implementing Article (11) of the budget law for the current year."
Mirza added, "Federal Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi confirmed the completion of the readiness to distribute the sections of exchange included in the budget, including the Kurdistan region," explaining that "the region is waiting to send its share of the budget for this month."
He pointed out that “Article (11) does not stipulate the delivery of crude oil to the Kurdistan region. Rather, the amount is established, and the mechanism for implementing this paragraph will be determined. Will it be calculated by clearing and deducting the oil from the region’s share of the budget and disbursing the remainder, or depositing the region’s sold oil in a bank account for the benefit of Federal government. ”Ended / 25 d

It seems to me that these "tiny" little issues should have been worked out in all the 1000's of previous meetings and delegations sent to Bagdad and back to Kurdistan. Seriously!!! This is NOT small and would definitely have been worked out prior to agreeing to the terms.... There is something fishy in these here waters and it ain't fish.  LOL!!!  Dis-information is a plenty.... Keep it coming!  If any of you are having problems seeing this for what it is...take the red pill.  Clears it all up!  It's AWESOME to be awake!!!!
