Parliament session begins headed by Al-Halbousi
  
(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The House of Representatives held its regular session today, Thursday, headed by Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi.

And it includes the agenda of the meeting to vote on the amendment of the rules of procedure of the House of Representatives vote on the draft law of Iraq 's accession to the Safety Agreement and Health in Agriculture No. 184 of the year and voting in 2001 on the draft Nursing Association Act and the second reading of the draft ratification law of an agreement regarding the establishment of the Global Alliance for dry land. Al-Halbousi sets a deadline for government proposals in the health insurance law or a vote on it

He stated that "the date will be until 9-29, otherwise the law will be voted on as a whole."

{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The agency {Al Furat News} publishes the text of the parliament's decision to oblige the government to establish a national joint stock company for communications.

The text of the decision came as follows:

To open competition and maximize financial revenues for the annual federal budget, the House of Representatives decided:

First: Obliging the government to establish a national joint stock company for telecommunications and grant it a license for mobile cellular telecommunications services.

Second: Obliging the Ministry of Communications, the Media and Communications Commission and the relevant authorities to provide all the financial, technical, legal and administrative requirements for their establishment.

Today, Thursday, the House of Representatives raised its session to next Saturday after the completion of the discussion of the draft law on freedom of opinion and peaceful protest.

"The House of Representatives adjourned its session to next Saturday," Mursal said.

He added, "Parliament is scheduled to hold a session on Saturday to pass the election law."

It is noteworthy that Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi set a session next Saturday to discuss Article 15 of the election law.

The "Al-Ekhbariya" correspondent said, "The House of Representatives has completed the report and discussion of the draft law on freedom of expression and peaceful protest." 

He added, "The House of Representatives voted on the Nursing Syndicate bill," pointing out that "the House of Representatives finishes the report and discussion of the draft law ratifying an agreement regarding the establishment of the Global Alliance for Dry Lands."

Mubasher: Today, Thursday, the Iraqi Council of Representatives issued several decisions aimed at opening the door for competition and maximizing financial revenues for the annual federal budget.

The House of Representatives decided, according to a statement, to oblige the government to establish a national joint stock company for telecommunications and to grant it a license for mobile cellular telecommunications services.

The House of Representatives directed to oblige the Ministry of Communications, the Media and Communications Commission and the relevant authorities to provide all the financial, technical, legal and administrative requirements for their establishment, each according to its competence.

In March of 2019, the Iraqi Media and Communications Authority completed its procedures for launching the fourth mobile phone license .

Earlier, the Iraqi Council of Ministers issued 8 decisions that include the renewal of 5 years for telephone companies according to the contract, with the suggestion of an additional period of 3 years, so that the total period of renewal will be 8 years, ending at the end of the license August 30, 2030.

The head of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee in the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Representative Thabet Al-Abbasi, decided on July 9, to file a lawsuit with the Public Prosecution against the mobile phone companies . To prevent companies' licenses from being renewed.
