Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi directed the formation of the new (Iraqi-Saudi) Coordination Council, to succeed the previous Council, which was made up of ministers of the resigned government.

A statement of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers received by  (Iraqi Media News Agency /) stated that “This came in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers, that the Council will be headed by Finance Minister Ali Abdel Amir Allawi, and membership of each of the ministers of planning, oil, transport, agriculture, culture, industry and minerals, Youth and sports, higher education and scientific research. ”
