We have stuck

together since the late 1950's for the

sake of the kids, but the whole of this

latest election process has made me

realize that I want a divorce. I know we

tolerated each other for many years for

the sake of future generations, but sadly,

this relationship has clearly run its

course.

Our two ideological sides of America

cannot and will not ever agree on what is

right for us all, so let's just end it on

friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it

up to irreconcilable differences and go

our own way.

Here is a model

separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide

up the country by landmass each taking a

similar portion. That will be the

difficult part, but I am sure our

two sides can come to a friendly

agreement. After that, it should be

relatively easy! Our respective

representatives can effortlessly divide

other assets since both sides have such

distinct and disparate

tastes.

We

don't like redistributive taxes so you can

keep them. You are welcome to the liberal

judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns

and war, we'll take our firearms, the

cops, the NRA and the military.

We'll take the nasty, smelly oil

industry and you can go with wind, solar

and biodiesel. You can keep Oprah,

Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell. You

are, however, responsible for finding a

bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all

three of them.

We'll

keep capitalism, greedy corporations,

pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and

Wall Street. You can have your beloved

lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps,

homeless, homeboys, hippies, druggies and

illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot Alaskan

hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks.

We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and

Hollywood .

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine

and we'll retain the right to invade and

hammer places that threaten us. You can

have the peaceniks and war protesters.

When our allies or our way of life are

under assault, we'll help provide them

security.

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.

You are welcome to Islam, Scientology,

Humanism, political correctness and

Shirley McClain. You can also have the

U.N. but we will no longer be paying the

bill.

We'll keep the SUV's, pickup trucks and

oversized luxury cars. You can take every

Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you

can find any practicing doctors. We'll

continue to believe healthcare is a luxury

and not a right. We'll keep "The

Battle Hymn of the Republic" and "The

National Anthem." I'm sure you'll be happy

to substitute "Imagine", "I'd Like to

Teach the World to Sing", "Kum Ba Ya" or

"We Are the World".

We'll practice trickle down economics and

you can continue to give trickle up

poverty your best

shot.

Since

it often so offends you, we'll keep our

history, our name and our flag.

Would

First of all teachers in public schools do without a lot. They do not have traditional 401ks or other retirement options. They have 1. Second compared to the private sector public teachers are way under payed. Their healthcare and overall retiement benefits are not much to brag about. The once great leaders that shaped this country all attended public schools pre 1960. Are you saying that they and the teachers that help guide our children are all worthless, because that's what it sounds like. I agree your job is not something that cannot be learned in school, but most jobs cannot be learned in school. However the basic fundamentals that allow you to get that job are taught. Would you be able to do your job without being able to read or do math. I don't think so. I have a 15 yr old daughter that attends a public school and is enrolled in the International baccalaureate program. They just had a debate against Berkley Prep in Tampa a Private school that is like 20k a year and blew them away. My daughter is already taking college classes in a public highschool. As for me I did my time in manual labor and worked hard and got out. I worked even longer days in 100 + heat surveying having to dig , cut and wack my way to a line of site. I worked hard finished school and got a white collar job. Ya know what I work longer hours behind a desk then I did doing manual labor, partly because when the sun goes down you can still do the work. You can say public schools are dumbing america but without them this country wouldn't be what it is today. Everything in your life has been in one way or another linked to socialism and liberalism you just need to wipe that oil off your eyes so you can see.

Funny thing is that it seems to be those that are not willing to work for what they want that seem to feel that the rich should pay for theirs for them. The people in this country that have worked their entire life for what they have should not be forced to pay more. I have been working for the last 2 years for very little money, I own my own business and yet I make sure that the people that work for me get paid before I do. Those people take home 10 times what I do. Do I care.. no. They are the reason that I have the business that I do have and will continue to have when the market returns. Got married out of high school, had 2 beautiful daughters, found out my husband was not faithful, divorced, went to nursing school (as a single mother with NO child support), graduated, & worked everyday since.... NOT having the luxury of a stay at home mother to spend the summers or holidays at home with my children. (No offense to any mother that stays home because that is a job in itself) All of this, yet still, I DO NOT FEEL ANYONE OWES ME ANYTHING & I WILL NOT ASK ANYONE FOR ANYTHING!!!!! Thanks Kingfish, I too am a small business. In fact, the vast majority of onshore oil exploration, development and production is carried out by "small" people like me. The areas in which I operate have no BIG OIL operators. I love my work and take great satisfaction in knowing that I am providing good jobs for a number of people in industries that support the oil and gas industry. This is a rough and tumble business and the participants enter at their own risk. There are NO UNIONS, NO UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS and health insurance, if you have it, is self-funded. The only retirement benefits are those that I provide for myself.

I have enough dinars to provide for my extended family, donate to privately run, Christian homeless shelters and seek out and join like minded individuals who are passionate about saving our republic. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

I attended The Bryn Athyn Church Elementary School from 2nd grade to 8th grade (approximately 1970 to 1975)

I attended the Academy Of The New Church High School in Bryn Athyn Pa. from 1975 to 1979.

I attended The Academy Of The New Church College (since re-named the Bryn Athyn College of The New Church) from 1979 to 1980

I enlisted in the United States Army on 19 October 1981 and was honorably discharged on 19 October 1984

I attended Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama from 1985 till receiving my BA in 1990.

The Academy in Bryn Athyn will have my records for all schools attended. My real name isn't Woody... it's Ward B. Welch. Woody is a nickname given to me back in high school.
