1st session of Iraqi Parliament postponed after 30 minutes

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The first session of the Iraqi Parliament began on Monday, and was then postponed only 30 minutes after beginning.

Although new lawmakers were sworn in, the session remained open to give Iraqi political blocs more time to debate over the new Iraqi government.

The session remained open because according to the constitution the first session should not conclude unless the parliament’s speakership is elected.

The speakership is part of the negotiations between the political blocs in addition to the Presidential Board.

Well there you have it. It's official. We just officially trashed our constitution in the name of political expediency. As far as I am concerned the politicians have just gone down the rabbit hole by suspending the parliament after 30 minutes. They have screwed around with their entire election process and now they have completed their failure by ignoring their constitution set themselves up for constitutional abuses forever.

Once any constitutional mandate is ignored in the name of politicking so the losers in the election can become the winners pretty much slams the door on the people of Iraq. Because once the holiest of laws is trashed then why not every law. Pretty soon they will handing out tickets for running a green light.

There is a reason this country is listed as one of the most corrupt in the world and you can see why right before your eyes. I think the only hope we have for quick revaluation is if these politicians can make money for themselves and if it does revalue then I suggest you run, run as fast as you can and cash it in before these these these.....lawmakers steal it all. What a croc.
