There has been a few articles in the past few months about Iraq's sovereign wealth funds being invested to the capacity to withstand another World financial crisis.  Today Iraq is definitely in an economicl crisis, mainly because of the price of oil.  I find it interesting that Iraq is now discussing the investment of their sovereign fund with the UK instead of the US.  First the only sovereign funds they hold are designated are the DFI, which have been held in New York since 2003  in Federal Reserve Bank of New York  http://www.swfinstitute.org/swfs/development-fund-for-iraq/ since inception of the DFI.  Now we see Iraq in discussion with Great Britain about the investment of these funds,  IMO this is something of note.
