HAS ANYBODY BEEN TO BELIZE?

My darlin' bride & I are planning to go to Belize for our wedding anniversary in December. We had looked in to staying in Belize City for 4 days and making side trips to tour the outlying areas. However, some of the reviews and YouTube videos do not impress us to stay in Belize City itself. Does anyone have experience or advice on how to plan our trip. We would like to spend one day in Belize City and visit the bank. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. A fellow Dinarian.

Here is the place I like..... its on the southern end in the Toledo District.... far far from the commercial / tourist world, and fairly rustic... and wonderful in its isolation.... No TV but king of WiFi if you can figure out how to sit in just the right place.... Howler monkies are frequent guests so ear plugs a must... if you are not a sound sleeper....
