Iraq: INA, SoL Near Coalition

The Iraqi National Alliance (INA) and State of Law (SoL) will soon align to form the next Iraqi government, AKnews reported April 12, citing al-Fadhila leader and INA member Karim Yacoubi. Although the parties are currently only engaged in preliminary talks, Yacoubi said once selection mechanisms are set the merged bloc will appoint the next prime minister. The SoL and INA finished second and third in the elections with 89 and 70 parliamentary seats, respectively, after the Iraqiya List
