Yes, we all see how stressed he was out on the golf course a hundred or so times last year, on vacation for 17 days in Hawaii, on several family trips to exclusive areas of the East coast, and elsewhere. Poor guy!! His stress must be he!l.

until we get back to what the founding fathers intended, which is.....political office is your civic duty and once you fulfill your term you are suppose to go back to your regular job....we are screwed as a working population. It's our politicians benefit funds....retirement and medical that are bankrupting cities, states and the country when they shouldn't be collecting one single dime when they leave office. It's ridiculous how much they collect while they are in office, but it's just plain criminal what they get when they leave!

Your absolutly right, teachers and cops should get a good wage and fire fighters. Why are there a lot of volenteer fire fighters. Thats not right. The teachers coz they have to put up with kids (uew) and cops because they have to put up with a lot of scumbags and being shot at. So do service personal.....Funny, the riskier the job is the less you get paid

All of the A**Ho*** that are running this country should be tarred and feathered for what they are doing... George Washington had ten times the stress that Mr. O and did it for 4 terms and without pay.. now that is a true patriot... IMO if you want to take your turn in making this a great country then you should do it for the love of the country and not except a single dime.. But in todays world that is near impossible so if just if you were to get paid then you should serve your country for 1/2 of your previous year income tax W2 form... this way it keeps the corruption out of government...

many may not agree with me on this subject, but this is what i think.

Pay them good for what they do, it is a stressful job. However, do not pay them for life, they need a consequence. If they do not do what the people want they are out and they get paid nothing for their troubles. If you look at it now, all they have to do is get in for one term and they are set for life (and this is all of our government). Why would they care what decisions they make unless they really believe it.

I think this would cause the good ones to get into office to truly make the right efforts, rather than getting in for a quick paycheck that last for life and causes them to only look out for themselves.

This would also cause room for us to pay our military and our teachers more, since we would not have to pay for some clown to live for the rest of his/her life because he was in the government section for a couple years

We could easily afford these wages if we weren't giving out all of our money to pay off countries not to attack eachother, or give them money for weapons to fight eachother, or spending it all to fund our military to occupy the world. With all the money that the US is wasting, this is what you guys are upset about?
