Well I gave plenty of time and nothing. Under the notification portion of my profile, I have "News and information" checked, and I have checked under "topics and posts" the box for "auto follow topics I reply to" which does not seem to be what I really need because it says "I reply to". I chose "imediate" under the drop down list. everything else on that page is checked "email" of the two options, where the other is "Notification list" There is just nothing that covers the option to recieve "notifications of new topics posted" What I need to know before I goon with this is whether or not anybody else is getting notifications of new topics in their emails every morning and evening when most new topics are usually started. Anybody else getting these? This is what I had in place before the software change. I did just get a single email of someone posting a comment in this location, only because I have the box checked to recieve notifications because I have commented here, but no notifications from anywhere else, and I know new topics were started this morning as there are every morning and also every eve. So as a test, I unchecked "auto follow topics I reply to" but left the option for "imediate". That still does not seem correct, but it is a try none the less. Is there an option even available at all to recieve topic notifications like there used to be? THAT IS THE QUESTION FIRST? There does not seen to be any choosable options that I have found and that is disapointing and frustrating! Thanks for looking

Maybe easier said than done. The descriptive words are not what I recognise. daily/weekly digests? What is meant by digest? Notification list column as opposed to email column? Whats the notification list? Nothing there says that I want to be notified by email of any new topics posted. I have a feeling that the descriptive words have been changed like a lot of other software upgrades. Like old windows to new windows. All the stuff may be there, but they call it something different or put it in another folder that is called something new again and you must spend time learning it all over again. That is why some people don't like change. It was working fine before and now it stopped. I have check marks for email notifications but I am not sure which one controls the "new topics notification" ? Can't software change and leave the labeling the same? The closest one that I think may be the one to choose, and I am not sure if it is or not is "Notification method to use for topics in followed forums" and I must choose notification list or email. I have email checked as it was and as the other options are. checked my email address, and it is still there and is correct. Have I missed something? See what happens tomorrow.

I really feel for ya and hope it does not get as bad as my situation. This is not a pissing match, but I have been out of work or laid off for four years, damaged my back (no medical) and have lived on credit cards to the tune of 18 thousand. Borrow cash to pay rent and including card payments. I am Juggling everything in the air. Kept my credit good though, but my limit is coming to an end soon. Wish I could work but now trying to get labeled disabled (2 year procedure) and no help yet. Never thought I would ever get in this situation. Always worked hard all my life and now can barely take a shower. We all need this bad. I am going to stop right now and say a prayer for us all!
