Hell, I thought this was the "Rumor", but apparently, there are a lot of people that are taking Scotty1967 a little too seriously. Is his 'opinion' at $.33 so much different from someone else stating $1.17 or $3.20 or like I read yesterday, $5.18? Geeze people, give the guy a break. Kudos to you Scotty1967, you seem to be taking the bashing very very well. One more thing, just becuase someone's "joined date" is recent does not mean that he/she is new. Take the post above mine from 'apilot'. apilot said that he/she has been reading about this for the past year and a half, but has a 'joined date' of Oct 2009, so although apilot was a "newbie" in Oct 2009, he/she really wasn't new to the Dinar. Not everyone on here will give exact and accurate information, that's why it's a Rumor section. Like others on here, I've been in Iraq since 2004 and I've been holding my Dinar since then, but I do not follow all the topics and research for information often. Why? because when it does RV, there will be so many people quitting and leaving Iraq, it will be evident that it happened. I leave all the "technicals" to the more finacial educated people to handle, so in the case of the RV, consider me a sheep and lead the way. Personnaly, I'll cash in everything i have at $.10 and anything higher is just more of a blessing to me.

Anything $.10 and above and I'm going ball deep. That will give me enough to be debt free with a good little chunk in the bank and get a job so I can be home every night.

hell, he's been a member since Feb 10. Is that really a newbie? I don't think so. So what if he's only got a couple of posts up. Maybe he's like me and probably a bunch of others that spend more time reading than posting. hey now, my wife and I went to an Elvis show last year, so he is obviously still hanging around. I think he was playing at the old theater in Crowley, LA and Atlanta, GA on the same night...... As for the Don going to Iraq a few years ago, I doubt it. The only planes flying around here at that time were Military C-5, C-17, C-130, helo's and various fighter jets. Oh, and a few Russian supply planes. But as said before, who care if the Don has IQD?

if we were in the States and a Dollar was only worth, say, .0009 cents one day and then the next day it was worth $4.20, would you take the $100 in you pocket to the bank to exchange it for $100? No, right? so, why do some people say that Iraqi People will 'line up' at the bank just to change their IQD for IQD? If I missed something, I hope someone sets me straight. I can tell you this, Iraqi's use IQD, not USD anymore, so there is no need to exchange IQD for USD.

Holybowler, I am one of the 'boots on the ground guys' and have been since 2004. I don't remember exactly when it was (maybe someone else here does) but the use of USD has stopped earlier this year of late last year. Although, we can and do use USD on base, there is not as much of it here as used to be, no we do not use IQD on base, but some bases/camps do have Iraqi Bank Branches (well, at least JBB does for sure). Anyway, just for clearification, the Iraqi People do use IQD, not USD any more. Or not near as much, should I say. Thanks,

who/what is the GET Team? Personnaly, I don't care if someone takes a post and puts it somwhere else. Information is information, no matter who sent it or why. Of course, I do understand the moral of the deal and agree that it's childish, but it's just information. Love, peace and chicken grease!!

Even if it did come in at $4.20, why would Iraqis "cash in" when they already have and use IQD. hmmm. I'm just sayin'....

Thanks for the post. It all sounds great to me, but I don' t think I'd refer to $.86 as 'low'. That would be a dramatic increase in profits for all of us, but hey, $2.47 is just that much better. I guess all we have to do now is wait a bit longer. I've been holding since 2004, so what's a few more days going to matter. Thanks again,

$1.17 sounds very good to me, but we've heard this before......a specific date w/ special rate...sound familiar. Don't get me wrong, I really want this as bad as all of you, but I won't count my chickens before they hatch. It sure would be nice though. My B-Day is Sep 18 so I'd also love to take that to the bank as a present, from me to me, with love. I've been holding my Dinar since Dec 2004 and I'm ready to let it go............................for a large chunck.

I really doubt we see something by the 15th. I'm not being negative, I'm being realistic. I do, however, hope for something by the 26th of July, but can't be 100% on that either. I'll believe it when I see it, no matter if it's at .10 or 1.20. Either way is OK with me. I've been holding for 6 years, so what's another month or two, or year or two?

What's your point? Did you just want us to know that your friend showed you his wad? What does quoting me have to do with buying Dinar? I never said we couldn't buy Dinar on base, matter of fact, I cited that we CAN buy it from military fincance. And we DO NOT use IQD on base, that's a FACT, with the exception of buying at the SOUQ or Bazaars.

I agree with the Captain, this is, IMO, where Iraq will establish new credit to the world and faith to go along with it. The US does the same thing with their moneies.
