  1. Al-Bayati: The oil and gas law does not meet the desires of the Kurds Al-Bayati: The oil and gas law does not meet the desires of the Kurds 12-13-2023 Information / Baghdad… On Wednesday, former MP Jassim Al-Bayati criticized the region’s policy and his position on the oil and gas law after attempts in recent years to pass it in Parliament, pointing out that the Kurds had obstructed the law in recent periods because it did not meet their desires. Al-Bayati told Al-Maalouma, “When the political parties in the Kurdistan region talk about the oil and gas law, they are lying to themselves, as the law will not be in the region’s interest at all.” He added, “The oil and gas law will determine the region’s oil exports and imports according to legal frameworks that it will not be allowed to tamper with. Therefore, it will not be in the interest of the region that lied about the oil file.” He stated that “the Council of Ministers voted in 2007 on the oil and gas law and it was sent to Parliament, but the Kurds stood against this law and prevented it from being passed in the House of Representatives, because they did not want the rest of the oil companies in other provinces to be their partners in the oil file.” almaalomah.me

  3. Democratic Party: The current stage requires approving the oil and gas law Democratic Party: The current stage requires approving the oil and gas law 12-12-2023 Information / Baghdad… On Tuesday, the representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Sharif Suleiman, stressed the country’s need to pass the oil and gas law in order to avoid problems between the center and the region, pointing to the possibility of amending the laws to suit the country’s needs. Suleiman told Al-Maalouma, “Iraq is in dire need of an oil and gas law, especially since the current stage is witnessing problems between the region and the center due to the lack of this law, which can spare the two sides any disputes between them.” He added, “Most of the laws have been amended, including the Federal Budget Law. If all parties reach agreements to pass the Oil and Gas Law, the door will be opened to amending the Budget Law in line with the wordings of the new law.” He stated that “the laws are not considered a written book, as they are all subject to amendment according to formulas presented through the proposals of the relevant parliamentary committees or by the Prime Minister, in proportion to the requirements of the stage or the country’s need to amend any law enacted in Parliament.” almaalomah.me

  5. I love the feels in this video. I think they are showing the older 50 notes that got axed for some reason. But the education, positivity towards the dinar, and the lifting up of it, including psychologically, is a beautiful thing to behold. Perhaps that smell from Iraq is an RI/RV afterall. HA! "Ahhh, I love the smell of a dinar RV in the morning"
  6. Deputy: Most of the problems of the region and the center are due to the lack of an oil and gas law Deputy: Most of the problems of the region and the center are due to the lack of an oil and gas law 12-1-2023 Information / Baghdad.. The representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Sharif Suleiman, confirmed today, Friday, that most of the problems occurring between Baghdad and Erbil occurred as a result of the absence of an oil and gas law, pointing out that there is an active movement to approve this law. Suleiman told Al-Maalouma, “The thing that gives rise to optimism is the awareness of all political parties of the importance of the oil and gas law, as it has become necessary to move towards proceeding with its legislation within Parliament.” He added, “The current stage requires accelerating the approval of the aforementioned law, especially since Iraq is in dire need of legalizing oil, gas, and natural resources, so that all governorates can obtain their rights.” He stated that “most of the disputes and problems between the center and the region occurred because of the existence of the oil and gas law, and everyone is moving today to pass it in a formula that serves everyone and guarantees the rights of the oil-producing governorates. It is possible that an amendment will be made to the budget law in the event that the oil and gas law is approved so that it is compatible with Budget paragraphs. almaalomah.me

  9. Well I am not waiting anymore! I am going to go cash out at 3 dollars and 45 cents per dinar! Who's with me!? And does anyone know where I can do that? Otherwise I will just have to wait some more.....
  10. Well you all may be dust but I won't be. Unfortunately, my dinar may be dust by then. LOL!
  11. i remember Adam's thoughts on .10. I just don't agree with it. greed may be the wrong word for it, although it does play into human nature. But if it did come out at .10 unless someone has a ton of dinar they aren't exchanging it for that when a dollar plus could be right around the corner.
  12. A parliamentary committee answers: Is Kurdistan forced to pass the oil and gas law? A parliamentary committee answers: Is Kurdistan forced to pass the oil and gas law? 11-22-2023 Information/private.. Today, Wednesday, the Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee explained the way to improve the Kurdistan Region’s relations with the federal government, and while it confirmed that the region has become “forced” to submit to the requirements of the next stage, it pointed to the importance of the Oil and Gas Law. Committee member, Intisar Al-Jazairi, said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “The current government has come a long way in its understandings with the Kurdistan region regarding the oil file, and handing over the quotas imposed on it in the financial budget.” She added, “The Kurdistan region has become forced to submit to the requirements of the next stage, especially regarding the oil and gas law, given that the law is not specific to the governorates for which the federal government is responsible only, but also includes oil that is under the control of Kurdistan.” The oil parliamentary member explained, “If the Kurdistan region wants to improve its relations with the federal government, by paying taxes, or by exporting oil, it must submit to the oil and gas law.” Al-Jazairi confirmed, “The government and Parliament are waiting for the legislation of this law until it finishes the issue of how to export oil, or invest gas in the coming stages.” Earlier, a member of the House of Representatives, Kazem Al-Touki, confirmed that all technical problems surrounding the oil and gas law have been resolved, with the exception of the political problems between Baghdad and Erbil regarding the law, which require intervention from the active parties to resolve the problems surrounding the law. The oil and gas law is one of the issues that has sparked controversy between Erbil and Baghdad for many years, but it was agreed to approve this draft law between the two parties within the framework of a political agreement that led to the formation of the current government. almaalomah.me
  13. I doubt it. Greed kicks in if it comes out at .10 cents and I believe people will go "Whoaa! This is happening. I ain't selling at a dime. I've waited this long and now it's finally happening." Ten cents would inject immediate greed and hope for more into those tired dinar holders. I don't see many cashing in at that point. I believe Iraq wants to get close to Kuwait or even higher to thumb their noses, or rather throw their shoes at them.
  14. we're digital in the US. electronic everything. but I still use cash as well. They are not as advanced as we are as far as going digital, and are going to need cash. If they do change the rate come January, they will have to have lower denoms in those ATM machines. Going all in on the dinar is huge. I just don't know if that will trigger the rate change. Logic says yes. But when has logic and Iraq been kissing cousins?
  15. I wonder what's in the covered bowl on the table. Breath mints? Left over Halloween candy? Mini Butterfingers? Now or Laters? Or in Iraq's case..."Soon or Nevers" Ha! Hmmmm..... Anyone? Anyone?
