  1. There's conflicting articles out about the Tariffs, some say June 1, others say June 30 to July1.... What's the possibility that they're waiting on Chapter 7 to be lifted and maybe thought it would be lifted early, prior to July? I don't see how they could impose the Tariffs without a RV, but maybe I'm totally off base. What's your thoughts? I respect your insight. So true, lol...
  2. True, but I think they lost their dignity and respect at the Summit...
  3. Thanks Adam, good chat. This is a great no-hype zone. I like that... And I like that you keep your true identity to yourself, just as I and others do. I can't believe anyone would be so blatant as to question that. I do not want my true identity exposed either. Besides, sometimes it's refreshing to just be ordinary...
  4. Vote on HCL (oil and gas law) in next legislative term Posted: May 8, 2012 in Iraqi Dinar/Politics Tags: Arbil, Baghdad, Baghdad government, Iraq, Iraqi Kurdistan, kurdistan, Kurdistan Regional government, Persian Gulf 05/08/2012 BAGHDAD / JD / .. revealed to the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary submitted a draft law of oil and gas in the Iraqi parliament after the end of the legislative term holiday. A member of the Committee and the National Alliance MP Uday al-Awadi’s / JD /: B’datalh legislative term he entered the Parliament will be put oil and gas law for its own legislation, to resolve the current crisis between the central government and the region add to the problems of many terminate this law and explained, “The problem is escalating between the central government and the Region Kurdistan’s oil back on the lack of clear legislation. “ And between a member of the Commission on oil and energy parliamentary deputy for the National Alliance, “The enactment of the oil and gas represents a clear mechanism in the solution depends upon the outstanding problems between the Baghdad government and the region.” He was a member of the Energy Committee in the previous parliamentary session Hadi al-Hassani, had said in a press statement that all the current differences on oil and gas law will be resolved in the event of an agreement on legislation that supplements the four of the law, stressing that these supplements will explain how to deal with the producing fields and non-producing and undeveloped and undiscovered . Hassani said the 2007 version of the oil and gas law defined oil-producing provinces and therefore there is no any differences on this issue, as it gave the provinces the right to participate in the Federal Council for Oil and Gas. Observers believe that the enactment of the oil and gas in Iraq would end the differences existing between the central government and the Kurdistan Regional Government and the rest of the Iraqi provinces, as it will represent an investment of vast oil wealth in Iraq with an estimated reserves of about 143 billion barrels. Iraq exports crude oil from the ports of Basra and Khor al-Amaya in the Persian Gulf, as well as the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean, and through the truck by truck to Jordan, and Iraq currently produces about 2.0005 million barrels of crude oil per day, and the proportion of exports from the Basra oil 90% , while the remaining issue of Kirkuk. The cabinet approved the draft law of oil and gas in 2007 but faced a Kurdish protest, and observers believe it represents the differences between Arbil and Baghdad on oil revenue sharing and control of some fields in northern Iraq and the Kurdistan region. It is noteworthy that the Presidency of Parliament rose, the fortieth session to the fourteenth of June, after a majority vote on the new range for the accountability and justice, consisting of seven people, and to postpone the vote on the dismissal of the Mayor of Baghdad Sabir al-Issawi . http://bit.ly/KJRScu

  10. Without a doubt, a lot of people have made tons of money off the dinar hype; websites that pump it, dealers and traders, the list could go on and on. This investment is not for the faint of heart, but it IS a currency investment, and with that goes a certain amount of risk. If you only invest what you can afford to lose, then you'll be ok. A LOP is just simply one of the risks involved, but it's also not the only thing on the table. There's good things too... like a RV. I've been in this a long time and I intend to see it through, regardless of which way it goes. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I'm in this by faith, and nothing is moving me...

  12. Great article, thanks for posting it. I like this guy too, very down to earth.

  14. Finally, someone speaks up with some sense! Just do it already. RV the stuff and it'll be worth something!
  15. I took everybodys advice and called DinarBanker back. They put me through to someone named "John" and I told him exactly what had happened. I was very upfront with him, told him I'd vented my frustration with a large group of investers, and that I didn't plan to use DinarBanker again. He quickly apologized for the way "Chris" had mishandled my call, and asked that I reconsider using them. He said my order is fine and I could probably expect it on Monday. He said they have a new company that's handling the e-checks and it's actually taking longer than if you do a wire or COD order. But it does lock your rate in immediately. He ended the call by assuring me "Chris" would be much nicer in the future... Thank you all for your advice and support... I really do appreciate it. This is a true DV family and I have the highest regard for all of you! Hugs to everyone
  16. Thanks Adam, I will call them and let them know what happened. The guy's name was "Chris," in case anybody else has to deal with him. He actually laughed when I asked if he could tell me when I'd receive the dinar and said, "nooooo," like I was unable to understand what the word NO meant. He may indeed just be a bad seed, but he sure put a blight on the company as far as I'm concerned. Again, thank you for your advice; I will take it and perhaps give them another chance since I've been happy with them in the past.
  17. In case anyone is thinking of using DinarBanker to do a "quick" buy, think again... I have ordered from them numerous times in the past and been very happy with their service. If I ordered on a Monday, I'd receive the dinar on a Thursday every single time. However, that's no longer the case. I ordered from them again on Monday, April 9th, using the e-check method, which supposedly is faster. Not the case! The money was taken out of my bank account that same day, but to date, I have not even received an email as to when I'd receive the dinar! I called this morning to find out why and was told, rather flippantly, that I'd just have to wait, that they were very busy and it could take several more business days. Well, they weren't "too busy" to take the money out of my account... The agent said he couldn't tell me "when" I'd receive it, just that it would take "several more business days and that I'd get a confirmation email when they send it out." I'm sure I'll eventually receive my order, but I'm disappointed in their current service, and especially with their flippant attitude when I voiced my concern. So please be aware of the delays if you decide to use them to order from... I'm looking elsewhere myself...
  18. Yota, What am I missing here ( in red )? Break it down please while I go get my first cup of coffee. lol Thanks for all you do!!!
  19. I agree with you. Shabibi won't do a thing until the power is shared... It's like a stand-off between Maliki and Shabibi right now, with neither one budging an inch. Shabibi cares about the people; Maliki only cares about Maliki...
  20. I like that Randalln, and you're right; we need to listen more and flap our tongues less. I like your posts, and I thank you for sharing what your friend told you. What better intel could we have than from somebody that's over there living it! I put more stock into what she's saying, and you're sharing, than in any of these other bozo's opinions on here!!! You have a good day Randalln...
  21. Why is it every post ends up being an argument??? But if you want to explore this "Kaperoni" article further, it's been posted twice more on here today with different titles by different people. I'm going to enjoy this beautiful Easter weekend. And without arguing...

Proposal to raise zeros from the dinar Ala a paper A. M. D. Jawad Kazem al-Bakri Usually financial authorities represented by the MOF or MOTreasury use monetary policy in order to preserve the value of the currency in addition to taking advantage of all the resources available in the lawful economy in order to reach full employment and economic growth. This is done by those authorities using the monetary policies such as spending policy and taxation. The monetary authorities use these two tools to solve the problems such as inflation, unemployment, etc. That is usually called the gap between inflation and deflation that the local economy can be exposed to. In that case the central bank can only be asked to expose the local currency to satisfy the supply and demand. The history of modern economics tells us that many nations in the world such as the countries involved in WW1 and WW2 or most recently the collapse of the Eastern Bloc countries, have taken one of these two measures, either by changing the whole national currency or eliminating zeros from the currencies so that it can go back to its previous stable condition. In the Iraqi experience after the fall of the dictatorial regime, the present authorities have decided to change the Iraqi currency to a new currency. This does not affect the value of the dinar so far but it opens the dinar to the free currency market such as against the dollar, etc. That condition has made the dinar safe at one dinar equals .067 cents to one dinar which actually gives the impression of the reduction of the purchasing power of the IQD against the dollar recently. If three zeros were lifted from the IQD this means the IQD becomes stronger 1000 times in terms of value. For example, a pack of cigarettes that was selling for 1000 dinar would be only 1 dinar. If it was a conversion like that, if the three zeros were lifted from the previous currency, this means the old 1000 dinars will buy 1000 packs of cigarettes instead of 1. From a theoretical point of view, when three zeros are lifted from the IQD its buying power will increase drastically so that the dollar will be equivalent to 1.5 dinars only. Therefore, let’s say the merchandise imported from abroad is valued before lifting the zeros at 1.2 million dinars, or $1000; if you lift the three zeros 1200 dinars will equal $1000; therefore, that will not bring any negative impact on the Iraqi citizens. On the positive of lifting the zeros from the IQD, the operation of lifting three zeros from the IQD, according to a study and sound physical policy, will lead to these positive factors: One, it increases the monetary power of the IQD to buy things. Two, it increases the value of exchange from the dinar to other currencies. Three, it provides more confidence for more foreign investment in the economy. Four, in increases the confidence of the Iraqi citizen in his own currency, as is the case with the dollar and other currencies in their own countries. Dr. Bakri
